Infamous and never caught British serial killer, Jack the Ripper, brutally murdered women in London's East End in 1888. This extraordinary story takes you on a journey through the dark cobblestone alleys and little known back-streets of Whitechapel to visit the places that both Jack and his victims frequented. En route you’ll learn all about the victim's lives as well as the terrible social turbulence and deprivation of the time. This tour is led only by London's best, and most experienced ‘Ripperologist’ experts with the most up to date information regarding where the victims bodies were discovered, methodology and the investigations that followed. This captivating experience is an intriguing insight into the mind of a serial killer & the impoverished lives of working class Victorian London.
The evening begins at Happy Days Restaurant, located on the site where a blood-soaked piece of clothing from one of the victims was found in the doorway in 1888. A choice of 10 meal options is included in the experience, including the classic, Fish & Chips. (and vegetarian options) This restaurant is the only place where any physical evidence of the Ripper’s movements was identified and it’s at this historic location you’ll enjoy the East End's finest traditional supper before heading out to the grisly crime scenes of the 19th Century. The restaurant walls are adorned with many pictures of the murder suspects and other Jack The Ripper memorabilia, and it's a mere 5 minute walk from the starting location of the Jack The Ripper tour.
