Did this with "the girls" as a bit of a celebration. Was good fun - too much food! Not that we're complaining about that of course. Wouldn't recommend without a word of warning first - it puts me off restaurants (and yet it happens ALL THE TIME) where I have to ask repeatedly for tap water. They wouldn't leave a jug on the table and I was often without it. I imagine it's not ideal for the staff to have to constantly come back to top up water glasses, why not allow us to serve ourselves water? I hate being without it - especially when drinking alcohol - and seem to always end up drinking my own water that I have with me (which is fine but I prefer to keep this for the stinky tube journey). Anyway this brings me to my next point - "unlimited prosecco". We had to ask for our glasses to be refilled on numerous occasions, and that was when we COULD get the waitresses attention. Between 5 of us a bottle wasn't going to last long but when we asked about it being left on the table in an ice bucket were told "our manager doesn't like bottles being left on the table". OK, no problem, if it is policy then they need to be more on the ball with replenishing us. One time they finished a bottle and just didn't return to top up the 5th person's glass! All a bit strange. At ten to 3 they came to clear our tables and said "your prosecco will run out in 10 minutes" so we asked if they could top our glasses up before taking the plates. They didn't. They did come back and do it but it just seems strange that places are promoting "bottomless brunches" and "unlimited" drinks when it's really not. Still an alright experience overall and they have a lot of other deals/specials that they offer - I was interested in perhaps returning with my boyfriend but probably won't. Lastly though, the doughnuts were absolutely delicious! And I don't even like doughnuts! Visited Ma' Plucker on 2016-08-14
