Beekeeping on the Roof Terrace
at Ham Yard Hotel
Monday 22nd August, 6 - 7.30pm

Join host of the acclaimed ‘Queen Bees’ podcast Esther Coles to celebrate the art of beekeeping in association Ham Yard's resident apiarists, The London Beekeeper.

Discover the exclusive Roof Terrace at Ham Yard Hotel with sweeping views over the Soho skyline and a garden that blooms all year round with seasonal flowers from poppies and lemon verbena to jasmine, creating a wild meadow.

Explore Ham Yard Hotel's own hives at home on the roof terrace as you learn about the world of beekeeping and why bees are so essential to our eco-systems.

Honey Tasting and Candle Making
Join the buzz as Esther Coles leads a tasting of different types of honey from single flower varieties to those from varying regions. Learn about the different products that can be harvested from the hive and let your creativity flow by making your own candle from beeswax.

Tickets cost £40 per person including honey tasting, candle making, canapés and cocktails.

About Ham Yard Hotel's Bees
Ham Yard Hotel's two bee hives are placed to the rear of the Roof Terrace’s gardens and employ eco-friendly methods for bee management and hive maintenance. Bee friendly plants have also been established around the hives. The first batch of honey was produced in August 2015 and is used by bar staff in cocktail menus.
