Block Printing Workshop at The Doodle Bar

Workshop.

In this workshop you will be provided with one A5 plywood and a tool to create your marks with onto the block. The first stage of the workshop is to choose a design from the collection of art books, or create your own pattern. The next step is to simply dent or score the block with your tool. Once your design is ready, you will then ink up your block using black ink and print onto paper or fabric. In the workshop you will learn how to print without a press. Think about what you might want to print onto, if you have any interesting papers and materials at home bring it along to the workshop and try it out!

Keep your designs no larger than A5

Bring 1 item of clothing from home to up-cycle & transform (avoid buying anything new, light colours only)

All materials are provided + t-towel to print onto

The workshop starts at 7:00pm - 9:00pm
