On arrival, enjoy welcome drinks and a chance to view your copy of the recipe pack of all the things you’ll learn throughout the morning.

Following an introduction from fermentation expert Rachel De Thample, guests will enjoy an introduction and demonstration of how to make sauerkraut and kimchi using autumn produce.

You will make your own seasonal sauerkraut and kimchi to take home with you.

There will be plenty of opportunities during the morning, and at the end of the masterclass, to ask any questions you may have.

Rachel de Thample has worked in the kitchens of Marco Pierre White, Heston Blumenthal and Peter Gordon. She currently teaches fermentation and preserve courses at River Cottage HQ in Devon and is currently writing the River Cottage Fermentation Handbook and the River Cottage Bees & Honey Handbook. She’s has a number of other books under her belt, including Tonics & Teas. She also teaches Wild Food Cookery at Made in Hackney. Her passion lies in local, sustainable food. Before working for River Cottage she was the Head of Food for the pioneering organic box scheme Abel & Cole. She lives in Crystal Palace, London and has helped set up numerous local food initiatives, including the award-winning Crystal Palace Food Market.

    A beautiful setting to have a wreath class, a glass of Prosecco and a sociable host, alongside some interesting buckets of foraged greenery which promised good things for the class. Sadly it lacked clear direction and advice, was almost inaudible and didn’t pass on wreath-making skills of any note. Encouraging all manner of pupil effort was kind but if you’re looking for some firm knowledge to take away for future use in wreath-making this class will may be fall short.

    Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback, I’m sincerely sorry that you did not enjoy the Wreath Making Workshop. We endeavour to provide a quality experience, from booking through to the actual class itself. Whilst we would not wish to make any excuses, in light of the Covid-19 safety restrictions we have been required to change our ideal layout for the workshops. Our team are rightly required to wear a face coverings (which may have hindered communication) and to follow physical distancing rules. We do understand that guests may miss the more personalised and intimate instructional guidance throughout the workshop. In order to help with our Wreath making class we also provide a booklet with all essential steps to support attendees; and our Host and their Assistant endeavour to guide and support guests during the workshop.     Thoroughly recommend this evening of wreath making our gorgeous florists Therese and Rosie demonstrated with clear instructions and always available to guide if needed, location stunning food delicious ! And who doesn’t love a festive Prosecco
