What is it? A one and a half hour show packed full of seven different performers exhibiting their skills as snake-charmers, burlesque dancers, performance artists and fire throwers. Curated by notorious sideshow performer Bambi Blue, Cult Freak will be an evening of entertainment to shock and delight.

Where is it? It’s set in the Andaz Hotel's magnificent Masonic Temple, a room which dates back to 1912. Ornate and extravagant, the secret temple is adorned with marble and features a gold ceiling detailing the zodiac signs. Rarely open to the public, this room is one of London's best kept secrets.

How much?

  • £30 gets you the entry ticket
  • £60 buys you a superb two-course dinner in Eastway Brasserie, also located in the Andaz Hotel, followed by a welcome cocktail and a show ticket.

For those big spenders there is the full Monty priced at £295, a package designed with two people in mind. It includes dinner for two in Eastway Brasserie, welcome cocktails, show tickets, one nights accommodation in an Andaz King room and full breakfast for two in the morning.

Saturday was incredible, perfect venue for this night, possibly the most atmospheric/classy spot for a bit of slap and tickle :p the variety of performers was impressive however one stuck out; massive fan of beautiful women with snakes, let not try to analyse that one... So good to see nights like this in London, I'm already planning my night around the next one x

Absolutely loved Saturday night. Such a great variety of performers and shows ranging from classic burlesque to circus to almost fetish! This is completely different to any other cabaret night I've been to in London and the setting of the Masonic temple gives it an eerie exclusive and secretive feel. Will be watching out for the next event, a great evening out!

First of all the positive, the venue is outstanding, a real historical hidden gem and any visit is worthwhile. Now the negatives, the free cocktail was undrinkable, the mc was endearing but not particularly talented in comparison to other drag Queens, acts were devoid of ability. For example, one act merely took fetish gear off and sprinkled goldust whilst lip synching to a song as their first performance and blew up red hear balloons whilst partially stripping as their second performance. Another act put out a lit cigarette on her tongue and rolled around on glass. Another act whipped the heads off roses. Those sort of acts are very much at the lower end of Burlesque and cabaret. We left before the end. They really need to up their game if they wish to stand out in a saturated market... joseolivareschandler visited The Temple @ Andaz on 12 Mar 2016
