What they say:

Right, let’s get this out of the way: we know what the name is and, to be honest, you’re the immature one, so we’re just going to sit here until you’re done.

Ready? Good, because this casual restaurant is coming from the mastermind behind omnipresent Japanese brand Wagamama and is offering everything from burgers to ramen. But if ramen is making you think of spending ten pence in a Tesco while you wait for your loan to come in, do not worry as their selections sound more than delicious, with everything from wagyu beef and king crab mixed in. There’s also crispy Japanese spring rolls, with the flavours ranging from snow crab to the interesting-sounding wagyu cheeseburger. Hopefully this won’t leave us with an… Ichi Bum. Hahahaha, I’ll be retiring now.

What we say:

Burgers aren’t the first thing that pops to mind when you’re thinking about any Asian cuisine, but ICHIBUNS have managed to deliver on not just juicy patties, but some with an original twist too. Expect wagyu meat and British grass-fed beef, creating options like the Hokkaido, made from two patties, grilled onions, sautéed shitake mushrooms, truffle oil and blue cheese fondue (has there ever been a more mouth-watering selection of words?). Meanwhile, these can be washed down with Ichi Shakes – including the Sakura Blossom made of milk, cherry ice cream, cherries, marshmallows and cherry sauce – as well as a selection of craft beers.
