Form the team behind Soho's DUM Biryani House, this Indian restaurant in Mayfair is bringing the flavours of Uttar Pradesh to Central London. Specialising in Lucknowi cuisine, the latest eatery from founder Dhruv Mittal will offer a stunning selection of dishes inspired by his work and travel in the region.
If you've got a penchant for kebabs, Lucknow Social offers a great selection of the stuff, from clove, black pepper and cinnamon-spike kakori offerings, to melt-in-the-mouth lamb galouti, made with minced lamb and seasoned with over 50 different dry spices. Their biryanis are famed too as patrons can feast on an Awadhi chicken biryani which comes flavoured with saffron, rose water and screw pine essence. Slow-cooking is the order of the day at the eatery, and the curries on offer include a saffron-laced lamb neck korma and richly marinated taar gosht. Open for lunch as well as dinner service, midday diners will be spoilt with a range of quick eats, including small versions of the biryani to takeaway and galafi kulcha, a multi-layered flatbread perfect for pairing with your choice of kebab.
The bar will serve a carefully curated list of reds, whites and Champagnes chosen to complement the Lucknowi cuisine, alongside a bespoke beer made with the Hackney Brewery for the ultimate curry and pint pairing.
