What they say:

Palatino is bringing the diverse culinary culture of Rome to Clerkenwell. From Jewish diaspora to the middle East and even drawing on the different Italian regions, Palatino's menu utilises these influences to create an authentic Roman experience. Traditional dishes like fried sage and apple with honey are offered alongside home-made pasta made fresh every day. The drinks menu offers a similarly varied array of Italian wine, split into three categories to help cater for all tastes: classic, unique and special. The latter will include rare wines bought from auction or from limited production bins.

What we say:

Italian food done well is some of the best in the world and with Palatino's culturally eclectic approach to cuisine, it's hard to see where they will go wrong. The venue can produce food for any number of tastes, from homemade, fresh pasta to old-fashioned dishes such as chicken and pistachio meatballs with polenta and squash, to a whole list of pizza cooked on their in-house oven. But no meal is complete without wine, and their ability to cater to everyone from the adventurous to the connoisseur means they can offer a truly authentic Italian meal.
