Description

Enter, Tooting's best-kept secret - The Gorringe Park Pub.

This isn't your average pub, this is a boozer filled to the brim with character; there's a bit of everything here.

Pop in and discover the two themed rooms upstairs including The Library Roomwhere you can choose amongst hundreds of books to read from as you enjoy a cuppa - and The Alchemy Room (dining space meets Hogwarts potions room meets chemistry lab). Whatever your event - be it wedding reception, business meeting, theatre show or just a party for the sake of a party - there's plenty of space to play with.

Venture downstairs instead and you'll find a secret boutique cinema, tucked away in the pub's cellar. Settle into a seat, some of which are actual old-school London cinema seats, or sprawl across a bean bag as you enjoy a flick. Kiddie movies in the day and grown-up favourites every night.

In terms of the wares on offer, The Gorringe Park serves up a fine selection of ales, wines and spirits alongside a food menu of scrumptious British classics from breakfast to brunch, lunch to dinner and of course, a spectacular Sunday roast with big, beautiful, fluffy Yorkies. You might even get an extra one if you're nice to the team.

Oh, hold on! We forgot to mention the actual pub. Located on the ground floor; cosy, amazing, awesome, beautiful, quirky with sofas, tables, stools and all that jazz. There's also a large back-garden!

Like we said, it's Tooting's best-kept secret. Only tell who you must!

Had a lovely brunch / early lunch on Fathers Day with my husband and 2 small children. Great menu but it was the service that impressed us the most - really genuine and friendly. Will definitely return and recommend it to others. visited The Gorringe Park on 18 Jun 2017

Family of 5 - two adults and three young children. Pros - Great looking pub. Staff tried very hard to look after us. The children loved their starters - Scotch eggs and pigs in blankets. My main was excellent - pulled pork burger with sweet potatoes as was my flat white coffee at the end. The children lived the cinema downstairs too and the pub seemed like part of the local community judging by the number of regulars there. Cons. The two roast dinners were awful. The meat was thin and dry and the red cabbage was sickly sweet. Not a great combo..! For some reason the doors to the outside were propped open downstatirs so the pub itself was freezing rather than cosy, with a draft running through all the time. Our order for chocolate brownies was sent to another table, we were then told there were none left apart from one, which was so hard and dry that it bent my spoon! Having been told that we wouldn't be charged for dessert, when the bill came the brownies were still on it. The staff did take it off when I pointed this out though. In summary, great concept but poor execution. More attention on the detail by the manager and operators would definitely lift this from a pub we wouldn't rush back to, to one you would never want to leave... visited The Gorringe Park on 30 Apr 2017

We had a lovely meal at The Gorringe Park on Easter Sunday. I really enjoyed the lamb roast dinner and I know that the other members of my party enjoyed both the pork and beef option as well. The wait staff were incredible friendly and helpful. Next time we are in Tooting we will definitely be back for more! visited The Gorringe Park on 16 Apr 2017

What a fantastic experience. My son had an amazing birthday party in the cinema room of the gorringe park pub.. Comminication with Toby was one of a kind.. And to top it off we celebrated in a way with a nearest and dearest on a way none of us had ever expeienced before.. We were left to our own devices (although were not neglected) we played our own movies, and when the kids got a little bored borrowed one from the staff.. We thought 4 hours would be too long but we actually could have done with a little longer.. The kids are already asking when we can go back!! The food was lovely.. Clean, not greasy and great sized portions.. The kids ended up with popcorn EVERYWHERE which we offered to clean before we left but the staff did not seem fazed or upset by this in the slightest.. The drinks well priced.. Will an option of delicious hot drinks.. You really can't go wrong.. A big thank you for making a 3 year old extreamly happy.. visited The Gorringe Park on 13 Apr 2017

The room is great but staff could have been more attentive...we had to keep going up and down the stairs to ask them to fill the fridge and they ran out of the bottles of lager that we ordered. Also we had to finish earlier than we were told..upon booking and the week earlier we were told we could be in the room until 12.30pm but the music was switched off and we were asked to leave at 11.45pm. visited The Gorringe Park on 04 Mar 2017

We really enjoyed, the vibe was good and comfy, warm temperature. The lack of 5 stars was because the sunday beef roast although was good I would have preferred hotter, it came out lukewarm and got cold pretty quick. Would come back again. visited The Gorringe Park on 12 Feb 2017

No system for ordering pre payed bar drinks,30 people where given one card to order drinks with. ,Surely its not that hard to give people wrist bands or some form identification so there is no confusion. We where told off for popping balloons at the end of the 40 th birthday party, its called a party for a reason! ,Fridge in room was full of wine which we were told not to touch, which confused the guests and made me feel uncomfortable to tell them it wasn't ours, but only a couple of days prior to the party i was told it can be used for our pre payed drinks. Just poor communication and not to good organisation either. Wc broke down half way thru the party which was a pain but that cannot be predicted. For total of £850-spend could be a little better. Generally the party was good and everyone was happy so not a bad experience, room was tidy and cosy. visited The Gorringe Park on 28 Jan 2017

Staff fantastic, starters great. Was expecting canapé - didn't arrive but no prob. Would have liked green veg with main course, just parsnips and potatoes a bit disappointing. Lamb was very overcooked but we were at end so was prob good to start, all other mains good. cheesecake delicious, I xmas pud boiling, 1 lukewarm, 1 stone cold. Sticky toffee rock hard (but my son did complain and got a free drink - thanks). Maybe next year have Christmas crackers? visited The Gorringe Park on 25 Dec 2016

The food was fine, starters and deserts generous, but meat main courses were quite small. The fruit in jelly desert was firstly frozen and after noting this to a staff member, it came back as fruit in watery liquid!? It wasn't eaten. The service was excellent and the room set up was wonderful and prices reasonable. We will be back. Thank you visited The Gorringe Park on 10 Dec 2016

Unfortunately our Christmas Sunday lunch was a total disaster. After pre-ordering our food it failed to turn up. After 1 hour I chased to be told it would be a further 20. And when it arrived it was a bit of a joke.. Prawns which had been rapidly defrosted and were full of water, uncooked lamb raw inside, a fish turned over because half the flesh was missing, a cremated burger which was a third of the size it should be, cold veg, food that didn't resemble the menu etc etc. The staff were very apologetic and did give a discount but unfortunately this wasn't a one off. Same thing happened to my housemate a month before too.. This could be an awesome pub, just needs better management and some experienced staff. visited The Gorringe Park on 11 Dec 2016

Usually food at the GPT is pretty good but unfortunately the Christmas meal seemed like an afterthought, with lots of items on the menu (despite the pre order) missed off and things not cooked. Which was a real shame. Might stick to just drinks next time as the atmosphere is still very warm and welcoming. visited The Gorringe Park on 10 Dec 2016

After searching high & low for a venue for my daughter's baby shower I finally came across the Gorringe Park, I asked to speak to a manager about hiring of your function room & was introduced to a very nice young man call Paul. We discussed my needs & requirements for the day, which he confirmed would be fine. Throughout all our planning & organising Paul & his staff were very accommodating, friendly & very pleasant. I would like to send a BIG THANK YOU TO PAUL & staff for all they help assistance & also big thank you to the chef for all the lovely sandwiches &'niblets which my guest thoroughly enjoyed. Would defo recommend your bar to all my family & friends. Once again Thank you for your services From joan davis visited The Gorringe Park on 27 Nov 2016

Thank you for a fabulous party venue. The cinema with it's shabby chic atmosphere was great for teenagers to hangout and they had a fabulous time. It was really well managed and I can only apologise for the mountain of popcorn debris!
