Thank you for providing good food, drink and an ideal location for our recent event. visited The Parcel Yard on 21 Mar 2017

I was looking forward to showing a visitor from Hong Kong the Parcel Yard restaurant, but, astonishingly, despite having e-mail confirmation of my booking , when we arrived on Monday evening the restaurant was closed. Eventually we were seated in the much less pleasant Waiting Room and told there had been too few bookings to staff the restaurant. I should have been notified and given the opportunity to go elsewhere. Two stars for no restaurant. visited The Parcel Yard on 20 Mar 2017

Unfortunately, when I and my friend, who was visiting from Hong Kong, arrived at the Parcel Yard, we were told the restaurant was closed, despite my having e-mailed confirmation. Apparently there were not sufficient bookings to warrant it being open that evening. Eventually we found we had a table reserved in the Waiting Room, much less pleasant than the dining room. I would have appreciated notice of the closure as I might well have wanted to go elsewhere. visited The Parcel Yard on 20 Mar 2017

I used the Board Room at the Parcel Yard for a workshop. We were well looked after by the team, the room was a great environment - well setup, well equipped. All round, a great venue in a great location and great value for money visited The Parcel Yard on 15 Mar 2017

Excellent stop for party of 12 for lunch before catching train. Sunday roast excellent-thick slices moist port with great crackling. Good choice of pub staples plus some more unusual dishes and salads.Even children's salad was nicely presented. visited The Parcel Yard on 19 Mar 2017

We had a lunchtime 30th Birthday Party for our daughter here. We found the venue perfect for family travelling from all over. The food was excellent and far exceeded our expectations. Portions were generous and it was served at the requested time. Everybody commented on the quality of the food and the fact it was so plentiful. Special thanks to Alexandra and the staff on the day, apologies can not remember the other girls name - think it began with M. The staff were there when we needed them and unobtrusive when we didn't. Thanks also to Paul for posting the comments book, that we lost on the day, to our daughter safely. We would definitely have another event at The Parcel Yard. visited The Parcel Yard on 04 Mar 2017

We had a great time. The Games Room had a perfect ambience for my event, and Nikita from the Parcel Yard staff was very attentive. The food I had ordered was tasty, although a little on the pricier side. I would definitely consider having another event there. visited The Parcel Yard on 17 Mar 2017

We booked the Ticket Master's Office for a gathering to follow a memorial service. The venue is a bit of a hidden gem in the heart of the station, full of character with welcoming staff. There was a discreet and helpful presence when we were there, we booked and arranged the event with ease and it was a reasonable price. Delicious cakes too - really can't recommend The Parcel Yard highly enough. visited The Parcel Yard on 04 Mar 2017

A nice venue but on the pricey side, particularly the beers sold in the bar. The young staff are well meaning and do their best but there is no sign of a more experienced manager keeping an eye on things; we had to chase menus, actively get up from the table to find someone to take an order and likewise to get the bill. visited The Parcel Yard on 13 Mar 2017

Great place to meet, service was excellent and all my friends and family enjoyed the 'railway' setting, ambiance and convenient location. If had to make one criticism, I would say that although canapés were delicious, the mini burgers need to be more 'mini' - due to their large size, they were not eaten as much as the other canapés. I would most certainly host another party at Parcel Yard. visited The Parcel Yard on 12 Mar 2017

A group of us had lunch here again on Saturday . We've now been here three times and we were greeted like old friends. A great pub, a perfect venue for our reunion as people come from all over the country . Food and service excellent. Nice to be able to buy drinks at bar when we arrived and have the space to chat before we sat down, especially as there were 20 of us. Our only criticism was the playing of 'Musak' in the background. We had anticipated background noise from people at the bar and other diners, but the playing of music, which mostly just sounded like a loud base beat, made conversation very difficult. In order to be heard above the background noise required talking at the top of your voice. Although having no argument with the food and service, some of our party said they would not visit the restaurant again because of the unnecessary music being played. visited The Parcel Yard on 03 Mar 2017

Ate in the restaurant upstairs , after been greeted enthusiastically service was slow , asking about the beers on tap our waitress needed to get another to answer a simple question about Abv , second one did not know either. Food no better than your average Weatherspoons despite what the website might suggest . Plus points convienent meeting point and great surroundings . We came as a group for dinner, having beers and play. The place is nice, the cook is so good, the welcome is great. The only shadow: we ask for using the games room, by mail it was ok; in fact at 9pm when we wanted to go in, it was closed and we couldn't enjoy the room. Sad visited The Parcel Yard on 06 Feb 2017
