Its wide, open and eclectic spaces are the perfect setting to enjoy meals throughout the day and it also has 80 heated seats outside, overlooking the North Dock.

The first floor private dining room, the Cabin, seats 16 or hold up to 25 standing and is available for hire from breakfast through to dinner, with full AV facilities for corporate meetings and events, while The Snug located on the ground floor hosts drinks parties up to 25.

As well as a premium spirit selection, The Tea Merchant features a range of house-infused Sipsmith’s gins – fresh ingredients including teas, fruits and herbs mean new flavours are available daily. Those who prefer wine are spoiled for choice, as a wide selection of hand-picked wines from around the world are available by the glass from the enomatic.

We had a lovely Breakfast and the staff were charming. I have Ceoliac disease and they were very helpful and advised what I could and couldn't have. I definitely recommend a trip there. Looking forward to Lunch there on the 22nd visited The Tea Merchant on 07 Dec 2016

A vegetarian meal we ordered ahead of time was not available. We had to wait quite a while between courses, especially main to dessert. We had to get the bill reprinted 3 times due to errors Liam visited The Tea Merchant on 02 Dec 2016

We were sitting near a window and the draft was terrible. We had to sit with our coats over our legs. Food was pricey for what we got and we all though it was very salty. Waitress was good and wine was lovely. visited The Tea Merchant on 29 Nov 2016

They placed a group of 15 for drinks at a row of tables in the way of one of the busiest routes of traffic in the place. When I asked if the tables could be taken away I was told no. Then 5 minutes later one could be taken away. Then maybe 10 minutes later they were able to take a second table away. This helped, but the servers still had to walk through our group to deliver food/drinks and they certainly showed their annoyance with us even though I had pointed out this would be an issue when we arrived. Other then the horrible planning, it was a really good night with my team. Kristin visited The Tea Merchant on 16 Nov 2016

The pub is nicely decorated a little bit off the beaten track. Arrived at 7 was very lively, flavoured gins a treat, not sure of price as mine was complimentary. My friend had fish and chips and mushy peas which were fab. I had charcuterie plate which had nice parma ham and lo grade chorizo and salami. I had another small plate of mozzarella and beetroot and grapefruit, nice combination but restricted portionage. By 2130 pub was quiet, due to its location surely, on a summers evening, I'm sure stunning location would make this a treat! adebayo visited The Tea Merchant on 18 Oct 2016
