JEFF INNOCENT

Jeff Innocent is a popular and experienced stand up comedian, actor, writer and cultural commentator. As a stand up comedian he has reached near legendary status among his peers and audience alike by staying at the top of his game for over 15 years. He was voted Runner Up in the Facebook Poll for Best Live Club Comedian 2013 and 2014, won Best In Fest at the Norwich Comedy Festival 2014 and was nominated in the 2015 Chortle Awards Best Live Club Act category. His unique appeal lies in the contrast between his East End ‘Geezer’ appearance and demeanour, and his educated, philosophical delivery and subject matter. Inspiring the guardian to describe him as a comedian with, ‘The body of a nightclub bouncer and the brains of a university boffin’.

“Extremely talented cockney philosopher.” Time Out

“Clever, honest, funny. Not only hugely likable comedy but fabulously subversive.” The Scotsman

“The body of a nightclub bouncer and the brain of a university boffin.” Guardian

“It should be made law that every British citizen go and see Jeff Innocent, he’s that funny.” Evening Standard

RACHEL FAIRBURN

Sweet as chocolate and twice as dark, Rachel’s comedy treads the line between kitchen sink confessional and a bleakness unmatched by her peers. A finalist of several prestigious competitions including Funny Women, City Life Comedian of the Year, NATY’S, English Comedian of the Year and the Welsh Unsigned Stand Up Award she can move from amiable and engaging comedy to serial killers in the same sentence.

Aside from gigging up and down the country, Rachel co-hosts and co-writes the popular serial killer themed podcast All Killa No Filla. It has acquired tens of thousands of listeners around the world and live shows have been in high demand.

“Bright, brave and bitterly enjoyable." The Skinny

SAM LAKE

A winner of several new act competitions, Sam set is full of lighthearted, cheerful humour mostly about being a Cornish gay man about to get married. Witty observations mixed with a healthy amount of tongue in cheek campness.

"Makes for fantastic company. A thoroughly engaging larger-than-life personality." Chortle

SCHALK BEZUIDENHOUT

Schalk is one of the most exciting voices in South African comedy, bringing his unique contemporary Afrikaans perspective to the global comedy stage With a host of accolades including winner of the Savanna Newcomer Award at the Comics Choice Awards 2013, nominee of Breakthrough Act at the Comics Choice Awards 2014 and winner of the Intermediate Award at the Comics Choice Awards 2015, Schalk has a number of high profile live appearances to his name, opening for Trevor Noah in 2015 and 2017 and recording his own stand up special for Comedy Central. Schalk’s international career has seen him sell out a run of his one man show South African White Boy at London’s Leicester Square Theatre and perform on the Trending Comics Gala at Montreux Comedy Festival.

LINDSEY SANTORO

Lindsey Santoro hails from Birmingham (but don’t hold that against her). She recounts tales of her misadventures in life, all in her trademark down to earth, side-splitting style.  Naturally charismatic and immediately lovable, in the past year she has found herself in the final of the English Comedian of the Year award and supported Joe Lycett on his biggest national tour to date.

"One of the most naturally hysterical and gifted comedians in recent memory." Joe Lycett

AND YOUR RESIDENT HOST:

BEN VAN DER VELDE

One of the quickest wits around and a much-loved compere, he always brings a jam-packed back of nonsense, silliness and wisecracks to every gig he hosts.

"Sharp and crafty gagsmith, a life-giving compere." Chortle

"Wonderfully improvised riffs showcasing his impressive spontaneity and sharp tongue." Edinburgh Festivals Magazine

“The perfect comedy club host – he is a master of audience interaction. The audience weren’t just warmed up, but pretty hysterical even before the first act of the night hit the stage.”  Huffington Post
