JESSICA FOSTEKEW

EDINBURGH COMEDY AWARD NOMINEE: BEST SHOW 2019

If comedians were strikers then Jess would be the most in-form player in the world, banging in goals from every conceivable angle. She has appeared on QI, Live at the Apollo and the Museum of Curiosity, as well as being a star of Motherland and Cuckoo, Meanwhile, over in podland hosts her own podcast Hoovering all about eating which in less than a year has racked up nearly half a million downloads. She is also a regular co-host of behemoth podcast The Guilty Feminist and is all set to host a brilliant new podcast from the same producers in 2019 called X, Y, Z Boom.

For over a decade Jess has been a whirlwind of comic invention, poignant acting and hilarious linguistic goofing about.  She’s as at home over-sharing the truths of motherhood or being bawdily funny as she is showing off her impressive jester’s intellect or performing one-woman mini-plays about the absurd minutiae of British life that have the laser accuracy of Alan Bennett.

“Wears her smarts on her sleeve, great stuff." Guardian

"Consistently hilarious.” Fest

CHLOE PETTS

Chloe Petts’ “inexhaustibly funny mind” (Diva Magazine) and “compelling presence” (Chortle) has established her as one of the most exciting new acts on the circuit.

Chloe is an alumna of the prestigious Pleasance Comedy Reserve, has been shortlisted for the BBC Comedy Award, was a finalist in the most recent Leicester Square New Comedian of the Year Awards and came runner-up in the Funny Women Awards 2017.  She has also appeared on Channel 4’s Random Acts and BBC 3 Quickies.

She is a co-founder of The Lol Word, a queer comedy collective that hosts sell-out monthly London nights, boasting the finest female and non-binary queer acts on the circuit. Their most recent Edinburgh run was a sell-out. It won't be long before Chloe's solo shows follow suit.

IZZY MANT

Izzy has been writing and performing stand-up for four years. Her hour-long show IZZY MANT: POLITE CLUB was a sell-out success at the Edinburgh Fringe 2019. She also writes and produces TV scripted comedy.

"Pure hilarity." Ed Fest Mag

HYDE PANESAR

Hailing from West London, Hyde is a unique and brilliant performer. When it comes to comedy he considers everyone a target, his observational storytelling style takes you on a journey of numerous subjects to dealing with the different cultures he comes across living a multicultural lifestyle – at home with his parents!

AND YOUR RESIDENT HOST:

BEN VAN DER VELDE

One of the quickest wits around and a much-loved compere, he always brings a jam-packed back of nonsense, silliness and wisecracks to every gig he hosts.

"Wonderfully improvised riffs showcasing his impressive spontaneity and sharp tongue." Edinburgh Festivals Magazine

“The perfect comedy club host – he is a master of audience interaction. The audience weren’t just warmed up, but pretty hysterical even before the first act of the night hit the stage.”  Huffington Post
