The Gatehouse

Situated in North London's Highgate is The Gatehouse, offering a slice of tranquillity in its stunning beer garden. Pull up a chair in its courtyard and tuck into pub dishes with Spanish influences like Iberico pluma alongside triple-cooked chips, or a black squid ink paella paired with freshly pulled pints. The set menu offers the chance to try a little bit of everything, with three courses coming in at only £38.50. To start, chow down on mushroom croquetas with aioli before moving on to the likes of roast chicken breast or hake, drizzled in a prawn and parsley sauce.

Rotunda

Bottomless Weekends and 2 other offers

A hidden gem located just a short walk away from King's Cross, Rotunda is known for its alfresco terrace situated right next to the water. With a strong gate-to-plate ethos, the produce here is as fresh as it comes, and with canalside tables - the views aren't too shabby either. There's an array of steak cuts to choose from, cooked to your liking, as well as salads featuring Cashel blue cheese and pickled walnut ketchup, plus indulgent desserts such as an espresso martini chocolate pot.

The Narrow Boat

Overlooking the canal with pub food strewn across the menu, The Narrow Boat is a great place to visit when the sun shines. Grab a burger, watch people float by and make the most of a quieter, pretty part of the city. This Islington beauty's menu consists of seasonal delights such as a pork, apple and rhubarb scotch egg paired with whiskey sour marmalade, curried roast cauliflower and sticky toffee pudding. Drinks-wise, you'll be spoilt for choice with a selection of classics like negronis and espresso martinis.

The King of Prussia

2-4-1 Sly Gin Night and 4 other offers

The King of Prussia is an independently owned North London haunt with a gorgeous outdoor terrace, boasting black and white pinstriped booths and geometric rugs. Head here in the summer months to chow down sourdough pizza topped with Moroccan lamb while surrounded by luscious plants and toasty heaters. There are smash burgers plus Cumberland sausages and mash on the menu too, and it's also a fab place to visit if you fancy a game of shuffleboard or perhaps playing some tunes yourself on the vinyl jukebox.

Bubba Oasis

2 courses for £16 and 1 other offer

Another affordable entry on our list, Bubba Oasis is a lovely shout. Fronting trendy blue seating and lush foliage, the venue is ideal if you're by Angel station or just fancy having a couple of cocktails and a sandwich. Its outside area gives off incredibly tranquil energy thanks to its calming tones and the menu includes plates like Kenny's roasted cauliflower steak, or truffle scrambled Burford eggs if you visit for brunch. Got a sweet tooth? Then you'll love this venue's warm churros for dessert.

Drake and Morgan at King's Cross

Family fun this Easter Weekend!

A popular lunchtime destination for those who work in and around the Kings Cross area, Drake and Morgan is a swish and contemporary eatery sporting a crown of flowers above the front door. Comprised of two bars, a deli, a lounge and an elegant dining room, this Central London spot will have you spoilt for choice with its moreish menu. Tuck into small plates such as grilled chicken skewers drizzled with hot honey or a British charcuterie board to share, or come anytime to munch on a loaded club sandwich.

The Colonel Fawcett

A traditional pub, The Colonel Fawcett is serving up all the classics to hungry diners across its two outdoor terraces. Book your table here quick - before they all get taken - and enjoy a weekend brunch, Sunday roast or fish and chips while topping up your tan. The Camden institution also plays host to its darts club, as well as an array of sports fixtures and quiz nights. Happy hour lasts 'til 7pm from Tuesday to Friday, with the exception of Thursdays which promise two margaritas for £12 'til midnight.

The Naturalist

The Naturalist has all you need for a lunchtime treat near Manor House, including impressive views of the West Reservoir. Visit here and tuck into plates of seasonal British staples while soaking up the rays in its street-side seating area surrounded by trees. The menu is courtesy of head chef Gigi who sources natural, fresh ingredients to curate quality dishes. You'll be able to devour a famed Sunday roast too, featuring double-egg Yorkshire puddings and free-flowing gravy.
