The Horse and Groom Club Review

If I wasn't looking for it, I would never have stumbled across The Horse and Groom. Located at the quieter end of Curtain road in East London, this pub looks like a regular watering hole from the outside, but step inside towards the end of the week...

Attended the NYE event. Billed as a DJ Andy Smith night, Nice enough venue, with some character. However, can't really be billed as a DJ Andy Smith NYE event as he did not start his set before the midnight celebrations. Stayed until 00:30 before we got fed up with some drunken idiots staggering around and went elsewhere. What's the point of DJ Andy Smith doing a set at 1-2am on New Year's Day, playing to drunks? Presumably he was doing another set elsewhere at midnight. Had a good night but felt that the marketing of this event was a bit of a con

loved it. the upstairs is small but the downstairs is just like a norma pub. it stays open really late, which is good if you want a mad night out!

Small upstairs, downstairs trad London pub usually too far down curtain road for people not looking for it & unimposing enough that Queen Of Hoxtoners won't bother with it. A late licence & penchant for reeally good disco music allows it to get loud, busy, and hot which is sometimes just what you fancy.

This your typical english pub, gone disco! I have been experienced a lot of different vibes here, according to the promoter on the night. One of my favourite nights regulars is The London Disco Society, with some of the greatest boogie tunes London has ever heard. Drinks are reasonably priced, so the atmosphere becomes all bouncy bouncy and by the end of the night you end in the dj booth with two extra sweaters that are not yours! If Anthony sees this, I welcome him to give me a call, I still have his demo CD hanging on my neckless

Love this place! Bit of a hidden gem in my eyes! Awesome house vibe in a non pretentious pubby setting. Better than most of the clubs in the area

I'm very fond of this place, always had a good time. Drinks are decently priced and the crowd is a bit less pretentious than other Shoreditch clubs/bars !
