East London, With Good Transport Links? Surely Not!

Late night bagels, synths galore and a higher concentration of bearded yoga enthusiasts than anywhere else in the country; East London has a lot to boast about. But one thing it doesn't do too well, are transport links. When we're not on our fixie bikes, we're being completely done over with cancellations, track closures and weekend repair work. But all that's about to change; HELLO 2015 OVERGROUND EXTENSION PLANS.

Boris on the Overground

Boris loves the overground almost as much as he loves boozin'

Not one, not two, but twenty five stations are set to be added to the overground network in 2015, with services running through Enfield, Liverpool Street, Bethnal Green and Hackney. Huzzah! The move will mean better transport links running in and out of East London, with Liverpool Street being the main linking station. Exciting stuff.

Until then, I'll see you on the bus.
