Taste the High Life at The Shard

Shard View

You could be enjoying this view from any of the Shards fabulous bars.

In February 2013 The Shard in London Bridge opened its doors for the first time, and with that a pressure valve of anticipation was released with millions keen to discover the secret of what lies within. Standing at an incredible 309.6 metres (1,016ft), Renzo Piano's Shard is the tallest building in the European Union. It's already attracted swarms of tourists keen to catch the breath taking views of London and beyond from the open-air observation deck.

But The Shard already has some notable tenants too offering visitors the ultimate drinking and dining experience for a post-view bite. Check out Oblix at The Shard, the rotisserie grill and bar that oozes class and boasts London's first ever interactive sommelier section; or what about Hutong at The Shard, with its speciality Lu cuisine capturing the spirit as well as the authentic taste of China. You can also soak up tea and gin inspired cocktails at Aqua at The Shard on the 31st floor, one of London's finest skyline restaurants. High class dining has never been taken so literally!

The Shangri-La Hotel is also getting in on the act with their signature bar GONG also opening later in the year on the 52nd floor. With several intimate rooms which include a cocktail bar, champagne bar and swimming pool and a focus on premium cocktails and late-night drinking. So with all this on offer, The Shard is rapidly becoming a stand out destination for drinking and dining - but don't take our word for it, get down to London Bridge and experience this London landmark for yourselves.
