Never-Ending Nigiri: Have We Discovered The Best Bottomless Sushi Brunch In London?

If there’s one thing I could eat every day, it's sushi. From avocado maki to tuna nigiri and signature spider rolls, the rice-based dish is just oh-so-tasty. However, let’s be real; sushi can come at a hefty price tag. Just a few rolls add up after a while and I'm not looking to break the bank for all my sushi outings – enter Chino Latino. I spotted the venue's unlimited sushi deal on TikTok and instantly wanted to try it, so when the opportunity popped up to visit the Vauxhall location, I snatched it up.

Chino Latino's bottomless brunch made miso happy.

Housed within the Park Plaza hotel, the Pan-Asian restaurant fronts a Latin cocktail bar, as well as stunning riverside views. Boasting gorgeous floral décor by the entrance, a live DJ, and sleek leather seating, this was by no means your run-of-the-mill buffet. There were a handful of stations to check out, with spreads of sushi, dumplings and even a simmering pot of miso soup at the end.

My friend and I sat down and kicked off with a couple of cocktails. We both opted for the passionfruit martinis (£7.50) - a nice mix of fruity flavours exuded by notes of vanilla. Faultless in my opinion. After we polished off our drinks, we decided to go with the venue’s unlimited sushi brunch (£40 per person), available every Sunday. Along with the buffet, you can choose a main hot plate, so we went for crispy duck pancakes, which were accompanied by thinly sliced cucumbers and spring onion. As it was a DIY dish, we both enjoyed dunking our mini duck wraps in a zesty hoisin sauce.

Sleek interiors and a live DJ make for the ideal brunch spot.

Finally, I sauntered off to the buffet to load up my first plate or what I called 'round one'. Filled with colder options, my favourite was hands down the salmon sashimi. Each slab was fresh and encompassed a melt-in-your-mouth texture. A few other highlights included the savoury and fresh seared tuna nigiri and the iceberg salad – which in theory sounds very boring. However, the chunks of lettuce were covered in a scrumptious wafu dressing and sesame seeds, elevating it from your plain Jane salad.

As for some of the hot plates we snagged during 'round two', I really enjoyed the pork and prawn siu mai – a decadent dumpling that had plump prawns encased in the wrapping while the fried gyozas were a nice contrast in comparison. To be honest, everything was pretty top-notch. The only dish that didn't hit the spot 100%? The duck bao bun, which was basically just a doughy ball with barely any filling inside each morsel.

Chino Latino's brunch offers endless buffet bites.

By this point, my stomach was filled to the brim but we just had to grab a third plate of our favourite bites to share - it was a buffet after all. And then the sleepiness hit very quickly.  After fully accepting my slumber state, I finished the evening off with an espresso martini (£7.50), which gave me the caffeine fix I so desperately needed.
