BURNS NIGHT DINNER - 4 courses & whisky pairings, £65 per person
This Burns Night, on Saturday 25 January, raise a dram to Robert Burns and enjoy a bespoke 4-course feast of traditional Scottish dishes crafted in partnership with Laphroaig at Bread Street Kitchen.
Each course will be beautifully paired with a different Laphroaig scotch whisky, matched perfectly using key flavour profiles to the traditional Scottish fare.
Start your Burns Night sipping on a specially curated Laphroaig cocktail – "Long Night" – created with Laphroaig Quarter Cask with different levels of bitter and sweet with a hint of smokiness, whilst enjoying a selection of canapés including haggis croquettes, smoked salmon blinis with caviar, and wild mushroom and truffle bon bons.
Next tuck into traditional Cullen Skink (a signature Scottish soup-style dish) with smoked haddock and quail’s egg, paired with a superbly well-balanced and medium bodied Triple Wood Laphroaig.
Robert Burns’ appreciative poem, ‘Address to a Haggis’ means that no Burns Night is compete without a nod to this famous Scottish dish... We’ve given the Haggis a twist by combining it with some stunning venison, to create our mouth-watering Highland Venison & Haggis Wellington, served alongside swede purée, fondant potatoes and a whisky sauce. You’ll be in for a treat, as alongside this dish we will be serving a wee dram of the Laphroaig Quarter Cask, a single malt whisky with a soft sweetness and a velvety feel than transitions into intense peatiness and complements the meaty richness of our Wellington perfectly.
End your meal with Clootie pudding, vanilla ice cream and custard and a selection of Scottish cheeses complimented by a final dram of Laphroaig Lore.
