The William IV London - Kensal Green
William IV is a Victorian pub serving well executed, simple British food and locally produced beers in a relaxed setting.
A big outdoor area is available at the front of the building as well as the Dorothy's gin garden.
Reopened following an extensive refurbishment in February 2019, designed to reinvigorate the local favourite, with the hope to reinstate it as a local gem serving quality food and drinks.
Established in 1837, the site is named after the reigning monarch at the time, and enjoys historical features such as wood burning fireplaces, arched doorways, stained-glass windows and the original white marble bar which stretches across several rooms. Furniture is sourced from local areas such as Golborne Road, including the centrepiece King’s Table (a nod to the eponymous Sailor King)
Located in Kensal Green, the pub offers all day dining across a series of rooms, the main bar, the small bar, and the private hire area for events and parties.
Kitchen is run by Head Chef Greg Weaver (the Culpeper - Spitafield, the Green - Clerkenwell) and focus on British pub favourites, using local suppliers where possible.
On Sundays, a traditional roast menu, as well as a vegan roast, will be offered all day.
Drinks include beers and lagers on tap, along with a concise selection of spirits and a carefully curated wine list, complemented by a bar food menu. An impressive selection of non- alcoholic beers is also on offer.
