Southbank: a stretch of riverside pavement that’s long enough to entertain your parents, has enough chain restaurants to feed Jenny from primary school’s bland food obsession, and wacky street performers to shut your 8-year-old cousin up for five minutes. But it’s not just the convergence point…
The Swan Restaurant & Bar is part of Shakespeare's Globe theatre at the heart of London's Bankside. Not far from the lovely Borough Market, the cultural institutions at Southbank, London Bridge and The City, it benefits from a stunning view of the River Thames and St Paul's Cathedral.
The Swan at the Globe is a lively place which offers you to taste delicious modern British food with seasonal produce from local markets, and to sip creative cocktails- for example the Chocolate and Orange Martini or the Love Potion. With wooden floors, vintage design pieces and industrial hanging light bulbs, the bar is an elegant and comfy venue with a trendy topcoat.
On the first floor you have a restaurant where we serve from a la carte menu, Afternoon tea, Pre and post theater menu or Sunday roast with the best view over St Paul in the building.
Swan at the Globe in London also hosts live music sessions Wednesday (pianist) and Fridays (DJ), which makes it the perfect place to enjoy a chilled evening on the Thames. Don't forget to ask for a table with river views when you book.
