The #HouseofHoli is back – bigger, better and brighter than ever! Leave the dull, grey City at the door, don your protective white suit, and step into the madness at the House of Holi, for thirty minutes of paint-pelting friends, family and colleagues, in a colourful powdered wonderland!

Sitting amongst the skyscrapers and the concrete, Cinnamon Kitchen will bring a vibrant injection of colour to the urban environs of the City with the return of their purpose-built party pod – popping up outside Vivek Singh’s modern Indian restaurant in Devonshire Square from 4th to 12th March. The perfect antidote to dull days in the office, workers can kick off their heels, loosen their ties, and experience the spectacular paint throwing festivities that mark the renowned Indian festival of colour on 23rd March.

Announcing the arrival of spring and the passing of winter, Holi is a welcome burst of fluorescence following London’s bleak and blustery winter, where families traditionally gather together and cover each other in coloured paint.

But of course, no Indian festival would be complete without a feast of delicious dishes and Cinnamon Kitchen will be getting into the spirit with a vibrant three-course Holi menu. At £38 per person (including a Play Holi session) dishes may include:

Lentil stuffed wheat bread with yoghurt, tamarind and pomegranate

Grilled Kentish lamb escalopes with black stone flower and smoked paprika raita

Tandoori mushroom with mustard greens and chickpea bread

King prawns in coconut and cardamom curry with ghee rice

Carrot samosa, pistachio burfi and fig-semolina halwa

Anise, Cinnamon Kitchen’s destination bar, will also be serving an array of colourful Holi cocktails which may include the Holika Fire – appleback, fresh lime, homemade grenadine; and the Neela Heera – Broker’s gin, Maraschino liquer, Crème Yvette and fresh lemon.

Tickets are priced at £8 per person, or £15 per person including a Holi-inspired cocktail and traditional canapés. The whole pod can be hired for groups of up to 30 for £400, which will include an arrival cocktail and canapés.

I had a lot of fun, but more varieties of coloured powder would have been better. Staff were nice and friendly and the selection of canapes were quite tasty. Great location and pretty well organised. Leanne visited Cinnamon Kitchen on 27 Feb 2016

Thought there should be more education of the HoLI festival. Staff were amazing, as were the cocktails and canapés. Definitely needed more paint as the one bag didn't go far. Lexi visited Cinnamon Kitchen on 08 Mar 2016

Great fun to throw colours and dance away. Samples of the canapes were tasty. After the colour throwing, drinks area was not really organised. Recommend that more colour is given as one packet finished quickly and the portion size could be bigger Seetal visited Cinnamon Kitchen on 25 Feb 2016

For this we need a group of friends (more than 2 people) to actually enjoy this activity. It's fun and the cocktail and canapé are great, yum yum. Not to mention the staff was very friendly! Definitely going next year! Dolores visited Cinnamon Kitchen on 07 Mar 2016

Very enjoyable, me & my boyfriend were the only 2 people there for 10 mins until everyone else show up. So do go early. We then had canapes and cocktails with some of the people we meet. Also the paint does wash off easy. Will go next year. Claire visited Cinnamon Kitchen on 03 Mar 2016

Fun evening but would recommend not wearing good clothes as paint gets everywhere even wearing overalls! We booked cocktails and meal too. Food was very good and staff very helpful. mob29 visited Cinnamon Kitchen on 14 Feb 2016

It was amazing colourful experience! Unfortunately our company wasn't prepeared that activity will take place outside. And we want more colours packages. Advice for future is to have special wash luiquids for people who want clean face. Anastasiya visited Cinnamon Kitchen on 26 Feb 2016
