Joshua's Tavern At The Londoner

Description

Joshua’s Tavern is a cosy spot for drinks and light bites tucked off Leicester Square.

In décor and spirit, the neighbourhood tavern is reminiscent of the raucous watering holes that historically lined the area, frequented by 18th-century portrait artist and Leicester Square local Sir Joshua Reynolds. Known to be fond of a few gins, an intoxicated Reynolds is playfully splayed across the walls of the tavern in a hand-painted mural.

In honour of Reynolds’s favourite tipple, Joshua’s Tavern is home to an impressive selection of 57 gins, as well as craft beers on tap, wines and more options to tickle your fancy. To accompany, a delicious menu of gastro bites will whet your appetite, while live music performances set the tone for a relaxing evening. Monthly pub quizzes on Wednesdays are a tavern highlight, currently led by quizmaster extraordinaire Gavin Inskip.
