TOPLOADER

Toploader’s highly anticipated 4th album ‘Seeing Stars’ including the upcoming singles ‘Roll With The Punches’ and ‘Boom Song’ (produced by Andy Green) is scheduled for release in early 2017. The album will be accompanied by a full UK tour and a host of festival appearances across Europe next summer.

Since forming in 1997 Toploader have over two million album sales to their name and a string of top 20 hits both home and abroad. Their debut album 'Onka's Big Moka,' sold over one million copies and remained in the Top 5 of the UK album chart for over six months earning them 4 Brit Award nominations.

In 2000 the single 'Dancing in the Moonlight' became a global hit spending over a year in European Airplay Charts transforming Toploader into a household name. In 2013 the same track re-entered the Top 40 for three weekend topped the 10,000,000 hits mark on Youtube, an incredible thirteen years after it was first released, cementing it as one of the biggest songs of recent times.

Their second album 'Magic Hotel’ reached number 3 in the UK Albums Chart and saw Joseph Washbourn (singer), Dan Hipgrave (guitar) AND Rob Green (drums) embark on the biggest tour of their careers playing to over 100,000 people in the UK alone.

In 2013 Toploader released two singles 'Turn It Around,' co-written with Eg White (Adele, James Morrison) and produced by Andy Green (Keane, Scouting For Girls) and ‘This Is The Night,' produced by Tim Bran (London Grammar). Both tracks were excellently received by the press and gained strong support with BBC Radio 2 with placements on the ‘A’ Playlist. ‘This Is The Night’ gave them their first No.1 in the Radio 2 Airplay Charts.

With a reputation as a genuine crowd-pleasing live band Toploader have backed the likes Paul Weller, Robbie Williams, Noel Gallagher, Tom Jones, Simple Minds and Bon Jovi, where they became the last British band to play the original Wembley Stadium. They have also appeared at a host of festivals including Glastonbury, V-Festival, T In The Park and Chris Evans’s CarFest.

Emma King

Emma King’s remarkable journey has already taken her from England to the USA and back again, touring Europe and receiving 5-star reviews along the way. The only question being: How does such a big voice come from such a petite frame?!...

Now based in London, Emma’s awe-inspiring vocals conduct an uplifting and emotive contemporary Pop sound. With songs touching on themes as big as world peace, change, and self-empowerment, albeit with a delicate personal touch, this is an artist with something to say. Emma’s music will make you feel alive…and you won’t be able to stop tapping your feet either.

2016’s self-titled debut album tapped into the stories and experiences of her 5 years touring the USA, from Nashville, TN to Washington DC and everywhere in between. A record which Blues magazine described as “really something special…sitting mid-point between the gospel Soul of Aretha Franklin and the dirty Blues of Fleetwood Mac.” Maverick Magazine’s Megan Gnad called it ‘a “fierce record; focusing on her powerhouse vocals…pop-tastic hits wrapped up in genuine warmth and honesty.” BBC Radio 2 also gave national airplay to several of the album’s songs...

Ellie Jane

Songwriter Ellie Jane grew up on a small council estate in Hertfordshire – in an area often mistakenly represented as ‘posh’. Surrounded by a rich mix of music, she began singing at a very young age and took to writing her own material soon after. Equally inspired by the pop and urban worlds, her lyrics reflect her own life but also take inspiration from the imagery, metaphor and rhythm of grime and hip-hop.

In 2015 she entered the national Open Mic UK competition – though relatively inexperienced live, her powerful performance and mature songwriting took her all the way to the grand final at Birmingham’s NEC. Ellie also contributed vocals and co-wrote the single Colours with drum ‘n bass duo Mind Vortex, which was aired on BBC Radio 1 by Annie Mac and released commercially on RAM Records.
