Occupying a former print factory and opening out onto a wonderfully versatile canal-side space, CRATE Brewery is Hackney Wick's first craft brewery and pizzeria, and a favourite amongst al fresco drinkers and diners alike. The interior has been made up with reclaimed materials, with the help of the local creative community.
CRATE serves up a selection of their very own CRATE Lager, Pale, IPA, Session IPA and Cider, in addition to a range of craft beers from around the world. For a bit of ballast, CRATE are on hand to serve up their speciality pizzas, stone baked and topped with an innovative selection of toppings, such as Middle Eastern Lamb, Red Onion-Courgette-Feta & Gremolata and Sage and Truffle.
CRATE Brewery has become an East London hotspot with good vibes and great food, with the added bonus of a neighbouring canal - perfect for a bite to eat after work, a catch up with friends over the weekend or an all day hang-out spot during the summer. DJs are a regular at the weekends too.

Alfred Le Roy is CRATE's cocktail canal barge, parked outside on the River Lea. Alfred Le Roy is a classic British wide beam canal boat. Named after a famous Belgian pub landlord back in the 70s, Summer sees the retractable roof open wide to let the sunshine in which keeps everything nice and airy, whilst in Winter the boat is heated and becomes a warm and cozy space. We have 240v power sockets available to use at every table. Smoking is permitted on our front deck. The boat likes to keep up with the times – we have onboard wi-fi and our payment system accepts all cards (except amex) including contactless payments and apple pay.
