First Aid Box

Description

The team behind Shrub & Shutter welcome a little sister to the family to the name of First Aid Box.

Setting up their clinic in Herne Hill, much like the name suggests, First Aid Box unites surgical instruments and spirits to bring you a cocktail supping experience that's somewhat off kilter. The fluid in these intravenous bags is no hydrating medicine, but a soothing remedy of different liquor laced proportions. Syringe your cocktail into your mouth and take a hit of some cool tailored mixology straight to your veins (kind of) at First Aid Box. Fronting the same botanical boozing ethic as it's older brother Shrub & Shutter you can expect the freshest infusions to be served in an array of medically themed trinkets.

Try their Brockwell Park Bramble Cocktail which is a mix of Whitley Neill Gin, fresh lemon, sugar and Chambord served in a syringe. Or, have just what the doctor orders with their 'Thirst Aid' bag concoction of Whitley Neill Gin, Mescal, green Chartreuse, sage, pineapple and fresh lemon all in a drip bag.

If you're after food, you'll be pleased to hear the kitchen is run by the Shrub & Shutters old chef. Their food philosophy is grounded in fresh and health focussed produce with raw fish and meat making up most of the offering. Think ceviche, carpaccios and yummy hand-made gourmet dishes.

First Aid Box - London Cocktail Bar Review

The older I get, the more I begin to understand that genuine need for a glass of something at the end of the day. Just to take the edge off, help you unwind, relax and wash away the tensions caused by those passive aggressive office emails about someone’s missing lunch. A tipple of something strong…
