27-29 Endell Street, Covent Garden, London WC2H 9BA

Circus is a new restaurant bar near London's hub of Covent Garden. Walk through the large, inauspicious door and enter into a dark hallway. Leave your coat, check you have booked a table and they then open up the main door and allow you to catch your first glimpse of Circus. A bright, glittery expanse of a room, with the main "head" table (great for parties of around 20) straight ahead and the other tables scattered out to its right. The food is Pan Asian with posh twists. Straight through the back is the bar. They have made a real effort with this space, which is why Circus is a great place to go even if you aren't eating. The bar area is draped with black and covered in silver discs with low chairs and tables to sink into, with a fine cocktail and have a chat with your nearest and dearest. But why is this place called Circus? Out of the blue, the restaurant lights dipped and focus turned to the "head" table: Performers stepped up onto the table and performed, while also swinging above the restaurant on hanging rings. This happens a few times throughout the night and is definitely a talking point! It's not something you will often see in restaurants! Circus is definitely out of the ordinary and worth a visit - the food and drinks were really good.
