The location of this restaurant is brilliant -can see the Tower of London from here which is fab! Our waitress was kind and helpful but run off her feet as they appeared short staffed. It took a long time for our drinks to arrive and when our food got to our table the chips were nearer cold than warm. Overall a disappointing visit. visited The Slug and Lettuce Tower Bridge on 25 Mar 2017

Although the food was quite nice, we weren't warned of the 'club'-feel to the place. Not overly impressed with staff; they were quite rude and unhelpful. visited The Slug and Lettuce Tower Bridge on 17 Feb 2017

Poor service, food was brought out wrong twice, Once food was sent back incorrect for 2nd time waited 15 mins for correct order to be brought out in this time partner had finished his food, no one came to see if everything was OK throughout whole time there, thankfully the one of the bar staff ensured this was dealt with and spoke with the manager who gave us money off visited The Slug and Lettuce Tower Bridge on 25 Feb 2017

Food was tasty and the decor is great but unfortunately the wait staff were highly unhelpful with my gluten allergy. Aside from the fact that their English was only just sufficient they were unable to offer gluten free options (I had to suggest alterations to a dish) even though the menu specifically states to consult the wait staff regarding allergies. visited The Slug and Lettuce Tower Bridge on 10 Feb 2017

Amongst a party of five three of the items we ordered were unavailable! The service was very quick but the food portions were very small. Similar food to others like Wetherspoons only more expensive and less of it. Very disappointed. visited The Slug and Lettuce Tower Bridge on 09 Feb 2017

I have to say the service was absolutely appalling - there was a bar full of people with just 2 poor bar staff serving. On the two occasions I went to get a round of drinks I waited at least 15 minutes and the bar staff didn't seem to be able to clock who was next in line. visited The Slug and Lettuce Tower Bridge on 28 Jan 2017

Waiter was brilliant - not his fault. The only problem you forgot we were coming for Christmas Dinner. Table wasn't laid e.g. no crackers, hats etc we were just left sitting at table wondering what was happening. Luckily my friend managed to attract assistance. I showed the Booking Reservation Acknowledgement, that's when they realised a mistake had been made. No blame for this is the waiters he was fabulous. I believe it was a lack of communication and people going off shift. visited The Slug and Lettuce Tower Bridge on 20 Dec 2016

Started quite well with the starter coming out within 10 minutes of ordering. However, the main was a different story, I think they missed the ticket in the kitchen so we decided to leave after an hour of waiting for the main. I appreciate that Christmas is a busy time of year for S&L but their kitchen service needs to improve at busy periods. Waitress was very apologetic and I felt sorry for her in a way as they didn't seem to have many staff members on the floor for the amount of tables. I go to this S&L quite frequently and the service and food is normally extremely good so must be a Christmas blip. visited The Slug and Lettuce Tower Bridge on 19 Dec 2016

Service was poor. Waiting staff rude. Food was late arriving. We put money behind the bar which we were told had run out, then were told we had £309 left and they would not give the cash back. Said we had to drink it. Overall very disappointed. visited The Slug and Lettuce Tower Bridge on 19 Dec 2016

I booked our team christmas lunch for 33 people, unfortuantely after calling several times and asking the typical questions such as do we need to pre-order? Do you need us to pay upfront? Which everytime I spoke to someone they said no...until the week of the booking. This was all resolved and not the end of the world as I got my pre-orders in and paid for the meal including service for the meal. Our table was booked for 2pm, which I understood being lunch service it was already busy with other tables to cater for...however our table's were ready however were missing glasses. I had also pre-ordered drinks...which didnt arrive till 2.50pm...which we had bottles handed to us and then glasses all wet from the dishwasher. It was all went down hill from there...I dont know how many times I needed to ask for when we'd get our drinks or our food. It was a complete shambles and so poorly organised, it's a shame as they clearly had enough staff but they all were running around like headless chickens, clearly not communicating none of them knew anything about customer service. I thought for a chain it wouldnt be that bad, if they'd been running late on serving us then it wouldnt of been the end of the world...but being ignored for nearly an hour without a drink or any food...which when the starters came out the bread was stale the avaocado was brown but we all were so hungry and tired to keep on complaining we just ate and got on with it. Highly disappointing, visited The Slug and Lettuce Tower Bridge on 16 Dec 2016

It was a Friday evening and here were lots of parties arriving. Service was very slow but understandably. There was not enough staff to cope with the number of people. There was a very large party who were sat behind me and they were un-believeably noisy and kept on knocking our table and moving the chairs and bags when there was no need to. One lady was drunk even before they sat down for the meal. That will teach me not to book a table any time in December in future. foard1 visited The Slug and Lettuce Tower Bridge on 09 Dec 2016

Hi, I decided to book a table at Slug at Lettuce for a small office get together to celebrate Christmas. I booked on the Monday and explained that there was 4 of us for a normal menu dinner reservation, I paid a deposit, pre-order a bottle of prosecco and asked if we could have some crackers an Christmas hats etc which I was very kindly told we could. Unfortunately this then turned out to be a very disappointing experience as; The table wasn't ready for our reservation, it was right near the bar so we kept getting knocked and drinks spilt around us, after being there for only 45 minutes we ten got advised we couldn't order food, I then went to complain and got told it would be an hour wait unless we ordered a platter - so we did, this still took 1hour 45 minutes to arrive. As a result of this we did receive a heavily discounted bill which we were most grateful for however working within the events industry money doesn't unfortunately make up for the fact that even though we were only a party of 4 running alongside 2 large bookings we felt as though our business didn't matter and my staff and their evening was in no way as important to the team at the Slug and Lettuce as the other 2 bookings. In my opinion the venue was completely over capacity and the kitchen was not equipt to cater for so many covers, beit staff or sheer size of the kitchen. I would advise that moving forward you do not book smaller tables on busy evening if you cannot cater or service then in the same way as the larger bookings. Food was good, although a few mistakes were made. We asked for fat chips with the lasagne and got skinny fries, two of use ordered the steamed buns and were not told they had ran out but instead received ciabatta rolls which is clearly not the same thing and if we were told they had run out we would have ordered something different. Lastly the salmon and rice dish came with a spoonful or rice and when asked for more rice we were charged for this. Overall not great. visited The Slug and Lettuce Tower Bridge on 24 Nov 2016

Generally good but we arrived early at 12:00 and waited for our friends. The place was very quiet at that stage apart from the music which was ridiculously loud. Large speakers everywhere so no quiet zone. When we asked for the volume to be lowered we were told they couldn't because it is a pub!!!! Not at all sure I understood any of that as no one would come in and say I am not staying here the music is too low! It isn't a pub anyway as no one was ordering pints of beer! visited The Slug and Lettuce Tower Bridge on 21 Nov 2016

We had been to the Slug and Lettuce before with friends in July and had a very nice meal then. This time however everything was very dissapointing. We had booked an early table to have a meal before going to a show. When we arrived we had trouble finding someone to ask about our booking and lead us to our table. Eventually they put us at a table and then forgot all about us. After twenty minutes we had to ask if it was possible to have some food. They looked suprised and uninterested. Someone did come over to take our order, but the food was terrible. The scampi were overcooked and the chips were undercooked. The lasagna was burnt. We would never go there again. visited The Slug and Lettuce Tower Bridge on 31 Oct 2016

Very poor service even though we booked a table 1 week before. We used to go there with our kid so i recommended this place to my friends came from Spain to celebrate birthday of one of them. Once we arrived (7 of us), they were surprised that we have booking, than they finally found it and showed us a table. It was in the booking that we would need a high chair, but no one payed attention to us during 15!!! Minutes! So i just went to look it fir by myself and all the waiter were rude and telling that they dont know where was a high chair! Once i finally found it, i got it to the table and a waiters running by the table told us in a very rude way: this area booked for the event! You cant sit here! So we all were very angry and confused. All in all they let us stay there and then..the food was disgusting! Cold vegetables, ramen...never order ramen there: it was cold, didnt look like ramen at all and was served in a cracked plate! Disgusting experience! visited The Slug and Lettuce Tower Bridge on 22 Oct 2016
