The Attic is a luxurious cocktail and champagne bar, hidden away on the 48th floor of Pan Peninsula in London’s Docklands. Offering a perfect spot from which to watch the sun set over London, I was excited to soak up more than just the food at this spectacular cocktail bar.

The Venue

The Attic is accessible though a large door tucked behind a door at the back Tompkins, an attractive restaurant bar on the ground floor of the building. After shooting up 48 floors, I exited the elevator to meet a stunning view of the City skyline, gleaming in the sunset.

The space is furnished with coffee and cinnamon coloured items, all of which have a distinct 1950's style, whilst the centrepiece is undoubtedly a grand, black granite bar that stands proudly at the centre of the room. The surrounding windows give a spectacular 360 panoramic view of the London skyline; simply stunning.

The Attic is on top floor of the UK's tallest residential building.

The Atmosphere & Clientele

The atmosphere throughout the evening was delightfully calm. A diverse crowd of City workers, young professionals, and business groups flocked for a well-deserved drink after work; amongst them were a few couples and friends catching up over drinks. Half way through the evening, a pleasant jazz band arrived to deliver a soundtrack to match the laid back atmosphere of the space.

The views of the London skyline are truly breathtaking.

The Food & Drink

How better to enjoy the sun setting over London than with an expertly crafted cocktail in hand? Throughout the evening, I enjoyed a Rossini (strawberry puree, strawberry liqueur and Prosecco) and a Lychee Bellini, both of which were deliciously sweet.

Although this time we weren't lucky enough to sample the food menu (we'd already stocked up on grub downstairs at Tompkins), The Attic serves up a devilishly tempting selection of platters and bar snacks.

Cocktail The Attic

The Attic offers two for one cocktails from Tuesday through to Saturday, 5pm to 7pm.

Still something of a hidden gem, The Attic serves up an impressive range of cocktails alongside truly spectacular views of London. Make sure your camera or phone is fully charged, as I guarantee you’ll spend a lot of time on the balconies taking pictures!
