Friday 23 March 2018

Heralded for their authentic Texan BBQ, live blues music and top-notch cocktails, Blues Kitchen brings a dose of the Deep South to Brixton.

Following on from the successes of their Camden and Shoreditch sites, the third Blues Kitchen comes spread across two floors, with a lively atmosphere owing much to the live blues, roots and soul music that plays across two stages every night of the week.

With 16-hour smoked short beef rib, juicy slow-smoked pulled pork and Texan beef brisket on the menu, it makes sense to come on an empty stomach, and the hugely popular Johnny Smash and Wibble signature cocktails are well worth checking out.

Great for food and live music. Traditional American decor and open-planned layout designed for dancing!
by on March 9th, 2018

Great live music venue - always a good night
by on October 24th, 2017

Good food. Good cocktails. Much prefer to the shoreditch one
by on October 13th, 2017

Great music, but layout leaves a lot to be desired. It's a little overpriced compared to other venues in the area - this especially applies to the Brunch menu. Expect to queue on a weekend.

good song and good place
by on August 21st, 2017

Music is great though it's expensive and has a weird layout - toilets are always a pain to get too! Good to go to as a big group, though expect to queue on Friday/Saturday.
by on August 21st, 2017

Came on Saturday night and queue was far longer than necessary, bar was 1/3 full so couldn’t let more people in quicker. When in bartenders were rude and whole place lacked atmosphere – good for meal and drinks in day but not great at night. Music upstairs was good though.
by on November 11th, 2016

Came for brunch and it was delicious but service was slow. Also pretty pricey for what you get. More of a go-to-be-seen-and-instagram place than a cosy regular joint.
by on November 9th, 2016

The music and gigs here are always fantastic, but the prices are quite steep compared to other venues around Brixton. Well designed interior, though the loos are a bit out of the way.
by on September 8th, 2016

Blues Kitchen Brixton is one of my favourite places in south London - great range of food (we had the wings and a burger), strong cocktails and a wide selection of real beers. Plus there's a gig venue upstairs. Perfect for a night out with friends, and won't murder your bank balance.

The place is awesome indeed. I spent my birthday there in January and the staff were very friendly despite there was sixteen drunks of us :D Food is great [unless youre vegetarian.. then theres not that much to eat] and the party was great. I left my shirt there that I will never get back now but oh well

Cannot get enough of this place. Been about 4 times since it's opened and even spent my NYE here. It hasn't disappointed yet, the food is always amazing (the pulled pork especially) and the cocktails are pretty sweet too.

Had an amazing Friday night. The food was unreal and huge portions - I took a doggy bag home! The atmosphere is really friendly and the staff very helpful. I will definitely be coming back and recommending it to everyone. Visited Blues Kitchen Brixton on 2016-01-15
