Our residency with the exceptionally awesome Mark Kavuma returns this summer. Mark's five piece band will take over the Living Room stage every Thursday from June 3rd for an exclusive performance. Not to miss!


ABOUT THE ARTIST

Mark Kavuma is a prominent trumpet player on the British jazz scene. Leading his own Quartet and 'The Banger Factory', an organisation contingent upon bringing the people a good time. An associate Music Leader for the Tomorrow’s Warriors programme, Mark is also involved in their professional performance ensembles, including the acclaimed Nu Civilisation Orchestra, Jazz Jamaica Small band and Jazz Jamaica All Stars. A gifted composer, educator and inspirational creative enabler, Mark is also a brass tutor and leader at London based carnival band Kinetika Bloco.


2012: Featured as guest soloist with Wynton Marsalis and Jazz at Lincoln Centre Orchestra, after having been voted best soloist at the very first
‘Essentially Ellington’ competition in the UK.

2013: The Amen Corner – The National Theatre // 2013: The El Train –Hoxton Hall, directed by Sam Yates and Ruth Wilson

2014: Recorded the soundtrack for The Young Vic’s production of ‘A Street Car Named Desire’. Music Composed by Alex Baranowski // 2014: ‘The Suit’ international Tour – Directed by Peter Brooke

2015: Salif Keita and Les Ambassadeurs European Tour

2016: Graduated from Trinity College of Music // 2016: Featured again as a guest soloist with Wynton Marsalis and JALC, performing the Gershwin songbook at the Barbican Centre.

2017: This Joint Is Jumpin’ – The Other Palace Theatre – directed by Hoagy B Carmichael

2018: Released debut album ‘Kavuma’ on Ubuntu Records – voted among the best albums of the year by Downbeat magazine. 2018: Jazz
at Lincoln Centre’s Let Freedom Swing London Tour

2019: Released second album ‘The Banger Factory’ on Ubuntu Records.

1. The ticket holder voluntarily assumes all risks and danger incidental to the event for which the ticket is issued, whether occurring prior, during or after the event. The ticket holder voluntarily agrees that the management, venue, event participants, DesignMyNight (WFL Media Ltd) and all of their respective agents, officers, directors, owners and employers are expressly released by the ticket holder from any claims arising from such causes.
2. Tickets are issued subject to the rules and regulations of the venue.
3. Please check your tickets, as mistakes cannot always be rectified.
4. Occasionally, events are cancelled or postponed by the promoter, team, performer or venue for a variety of reasons. If the event is cancelled, please contact us for information on receiving a refund from the responsible party. If the event was moved or rescheduled, the venue or promoter may set refund limitations. It is your responsibility to ascertain the date and time of any rearranged event.
