VINtwined are partnering with the Dead Dolls House to bring a regular wine tasting event
Hosted in the beautifully quirky library room at the Dead Dolls House, VINtwined founder Neil Deacon will take you on a journey through a carefully crafted flight of wines based around a given theme, which will change each time. As pairings are Neil's passion, we will put on a few nibbles to bring the wines to life. The sessions will be informal and informative but most of all fun; expect to learn something in a relaxed environment. If you want to get technical, Neil is a massive geek and will happily answer any questions during or after the session.
Here are the themes for the first four sessions:
19th April: Introduction to wine tasting - If you are new to wine or want to find out how the pro's assess wines this an event for you. Through a series of comparison tastings we will explore how to critically assess a wine and discuss the principle factors that affect wine quality.
3rd May: Wines of the Loire - There's far more to the Loire than Sancerre (though Sancerre is delicious obviously). In this session we will go from the maritime climate of the Nantais following the Loire River to the Central Vineyards of Sancerre and Quincy meeting the Loire's main grape varieties as we go. A zippy and refreshing session perfect for the spring.
17th May: Languedoc-Rousillon - In the past, the Languedoc has been associated with cheap table wines and 20-30 years ago that was true. These days the average consumer has higher expectations and the best producers from this region have massively risen to the challenge. This is a vast region with vast assortment of grapes, blends and styles on offer, Neil will be showing some of his favourites
31st May: English wines - It's English wine week so naturally we are going to show you the wonders that are grown on our own shores. If you don't get an opportunity to try VINtwined's "this is English" pop-up restaurant series you can get a bite-sized piece of the experience right here featuring some of the most popular wines from the series

If the event is cancelled, please contact us for information on receiving a refund from the responsible party. If the event was moved or rescheduled, the venue or promoter may set refund limitations. It is your responsibility to ascertain the date and time of any rearranged event.
5. The venue reserves the right to refuse admission and may on occasion have to conduct security searches to ensure the safety of the patrons.
6. Every effort to admit latecomers will be made at a suitable break in the event, but admission cannot always be guaranteed.
7. We regret that tickets cannot be exchanged or refunded after purchase.
8. Tickets are sold subject to the venue or promoter's right to alter or vary the programme due to events or circumstances beyond its control without being obliged to refund monies or exchange tickets.
