Something A Little Different
Over 18

Leeds is craft beer scene is booming so we’re thrilled to offer a chilled walking, tasting and eating tour granting you special access to the people that are making Knightsbridge of the North’s one the UK's best cities to drink great beer in.

Stop 1 – North Brewing

We kick things off at North’s taproom where you’ll be treated to a tutored tasting from the folks that brought you North Bar. Opened in November 2015 with three signature beers it now has a core range of five as well as a number of one off creations. North loves playing around with adventurous and fun flavours as well as breathing new life into classic recipes as well.

Stop 2 – Tall Boys Beer Market

Just a quick pit stop at this café come, bar come beer shop. Nestled into historical Thornton’s arcade Tall Boys was founded by Ben and Cody whose passion for American craft beers is evident with some rare imports from across the pond. A small space with only a handful of taps, we’ll taste what’s fresh and learn a bit more about the growth of the speciality beer shop.

Stop 3 – Tapped

Our third stop is an American Style Brew Pub courtesy of the beer pioneers behind Pivni, The Sheffield Tap, York Tap and Harrogate Tap.

Tapped serves an amazing 13 cask ales and 14 keg beers, plus over 100+ bottles and cans from around the world. Here we sample something brewed in house or from their Sheffield brewery and learn a little about how US brewpubs were at the forefront of the American craft revolution.

Stop 4 – Northern Monk

Our final stop will be at NMBCo whose name is an homage to the monastic heritage of brewing. Blending tradition with cutting edge NM brew some delicious beers with most their range in cans rather than bottles. Here you’ll taste a couple of their beers as well receiving a guided tour from one of their talented brew staff.

Once the tour is finished you’ll be given a thank you gift and can head out but are more than welcome to while away the rest of the afternoon (or evening) in Northern Monk’s cosy Refectory taproom. You can work your way through more of their dynamic range or sample a guest brew from someplace further afield while nibbling something off their compact but well-chosen evening menu.
