In centuries past, Yorkshire was home to many delicious and diverse cheeses. In the 19th century around 1000 cheeses were reported on sale at North Yorkshire’s Yarm fair. Then after two world wars and the rather drastic Milk Marketing Board, cheese-making dwindled.
Now, thanks to some amazing local creameries and reet clever cheese-makers, Yorkshire cheese is once more thriving, winning awards and tasting smashing!
