No plans for the festive season? Well, we've got exciting news for you, because Leeds is making Christmas bigger and better than ever. Millennium Square is getting its well-deserved makeover again this year, as Ice Cube returns for 2023 with a pop-up Viking bar, alpine market and ice skating.

The fabulous 400 square metre rink is open every day apart from the 24th and 25th December meaning there's no excuse not to show off your gliding skills. If you fancy a few drinks or need a place to break the ice with a first date, then the spectacular Thor's Tipi is the perfect place, thanks to its alfresco offering of twinkling fairy lights, decked-out Christmas trees and roaring log fires. Plus, the watering hole will be whipping up moreish winter warmers such as hot toffee cider.

If you thought Ice Cube couldn't get any better, there's also Alpine-inspired chalet huts delving out everything from glühwein and German beer to Yorkshire pudding wraps or Canadian-style poutine. Not only that, but you can also put your feet up in the themed ski bar, where gondolas, chairlifts, and a four meter high illuminated bear await.
