New Bar Spy - Screwdriver

Screwdriver is bringing a slice of Spain to Dalston

Inspired by Galicia and the Basque country, Screwdriver will be serving up grilled specialties in the heart of Dalston. Taking over the space which was previously home to Lucky Chip Burgers & Wine, the restaurant will focus on Spanish food and drinks in a relaxed atmosphere. Founders Emmanuel and Alexis Ross are the brothers who have garnered experience working at the hugely successful Polpo, Five Points Brewing Company and the city's new hotel hotspot The Ned, so it's safe to say that they know a thing or two about hospitality. With a casual vibe, the restaurant will serve up vegetables, meat and seafood, perfectly cooked on a traditional plancha grill. Dig into small plates like whipped cod's roe or burrata with asparagus and peppers, before washing down with craft beers, specially selected wines and cocktails... like the New Driver (inspired by the classic cocktail from which the restaurant got its name).
