A summer of live music, burgers and cocktails has landed at this Oxford Street rooftop

The Gardening Society at John Lewis reopens for a summer of live music.

It's rooftop season in London and if you're a lover of live tunes, then the Summer of Sound On The Roof, on the rooftop of John Lewis, should be music to your ears. This year, the Oxford Street retailer has transformed its Gardening Society rooftop into a pop-up centered on all things music, where you can enjoy live gigs alongside food, drinks and stunning views of London.

The revamped area features immersive studio spaces hosting live music, DJ sets and acoustic performances. Grab a deck chair or get closer to the music with a private sound studio from Sonos, Naim or Ruark Audio, each with an individual playlist. For the full experience, book an hour-long G&T masterclass with Fever-Tree, available every Thursday for £15.

Expect New York-style fried chicken from the award-winning Butchies. Try the exclusive Freddie Mercur-Bee burger; fried buttermilk chicken topped with smoked streaky bacon and with chilli-infused honey. Dessert comes from Happy Endings, who are famed for their ice cream sandwiches, like The Malty One; made with malted milk chocolate sandwiched between oat biscuit and dipped in dark milk chocolate. All to be washed down with refreshing drinks from Fever-Tree’s Ultimate Gin & Tonic bar or perhaps a Rhubarb Negroni from Background Drinks.
