If you think brunch in London has gotten a bit too silly with its bingo games and ball pits, maybe it’s time to add a bit of culture to the meal. Leicester Square Kitchen are not only throwing a fabulous Mexican brunch, they’re hosting it in honour of Mexican artist Frida Kahlo.

Celebrating the Frida Kahlo: Making Her Self Up exhibition at the V&A, the famed South American restaurant are combining the worlds of aesthetics, cocktails, music and food for several Saturdays until November. You’ll kick things off with a margarita or pisco sour, before enjoying delicious small plates like sea bass ceviche with avocado, white corn and red onion, followed by a main from their Josper grill and robata, such as lamb cutlets with red anticucho. As it’s in honour of one of the most recognised artists in Central America, they’ll have themed décor, including flower installations bringing the colour of Mexico to London. There’s also live music, DJ sets, and that most important part of any brunch, bottomless prosecco and Champagne. Because no matter how cultured a brunch is, you can’t enjoy it without bubbly.
