What they say:

From hand-dived scallops with black pudding through to haggis scotch hen's egg, Mharsanta brings tasty Scottish food to the heart of Merchant City. Having taken over the venue once occupied by Pancho Villa, the restaurant, meaning 'merchant' in Gaelic, focuses on an all-day menu with original cocktails and long wine list for evening dining.

What we say:

With such a rich ecosystem to pluck from, Scotland's cuisine is becoming more and more popular, as demonstrated with this patriotic spot. Along with seafood, Mharsanta has a long list of steaks and meat dishes, as well as more casual options such as sandwiches. Drinks are well executed too, with plenty of well-known tipples on offer, as well as signatures such as Highland Collins which uses Hendricks Gin, lemon juice, sugar syrup and fresh mint. Inside, the restaurant is perfect for all-day dining with a classic look of wooden floors, black and white tiles, and a front window strew with fairy lights.
