Feast on a secret five-course menu fifty feet up at The Balcony Cafe pop-up

Dig into five courses of surprise feasting above a climbing centre.

Get down to The Balcony Cafe at the Glasgow Climbing Centre in Govan for a monthly foodie pop-up created by Liam McAlpine, who you may know as the 'Flavabomb King,' or from his regular appearances on STV2. For £26, you can tuck into five courses and BYOB. The menu is a complete secret and you won't discover what you'll get until it's served. Experience the unexpected as fairy lights sparkle above your table, while you sit fifty feet above the climbing walls and tuck into a mystery menu.

While your meal will be a surprise, dishes have consisted of duck, pheasant, haggis and more. Themes change each month, with seasonal produce sourced from local suppliers. We like the sound of The Italian Stallion, which comprises of ndjua sausage, served with ham, balsamic, roasted pepper and onion. For dessert, think raw cake with whipped chocolate ganache, nuts, mascarpone, chilli and raspberry sorbet.

The pop-ups run monthly, from 7pm at The Balcony Bar in the Glasgow Climbing Centre, 534 Paisley Road West, Glasgow G51 1RN.
