Now Open

Nico Simeone has been at it again. Following the success of both 111 and Six by Nico, which have left Simeone hot-tipped for Michelin stardom, the chef-patron is launching his newest concept restaurant - Public House by Nico. Inspired by old Scottish boozers, the restaurant on Great Western Road, formerly the site of The Mallard, offers guests a very 2018 twist on traditional pub grub. Diners will have the opportunity to feast on small-plate versions of their favourite comfort foods, from burgers topped with tasty Scottish cheeses to market fresh battered fish and deep-filled pies.

The interiors will be putting the focus on cosy comforts as well, with exposed wooden beams and cushy leather furniture designed for sinking into with a pint of real ale or a dram of single malt. Set to open its doors in December, the venue's fireplaces will also come in useful for keeping the cold weather at bay during wintry nights. At weekends however, the brunches will be out in force, with early risers welcome to chow down from 9am until late into the evening.

Public House is now The Hebridean.
