Maggie Mays is a cracking restaurant, bar, club and music venue in Merchant City. Combining epic banter and great hospitality with tasty food and fantastic live music, Maggie's is a favourite hangout for many Glaswegians. From the bright brasserie restaurant up front, to the bar area and venue space and basement club, Maggie Mays is eclectically designed with a mish-mash of styles.

Food is in the form of hearty brasserie grub; with burgers, pasta, salads and seafood and a market menu of daily specials. At the bar, drinks come as cool and quirky cocktails, with names like Seven Seas of Rye and Some Kind of Monster as well as a massive selection of spirits and ample choice of wine and beers. Open until 3am seven nights a week, Maggie's has music at its core, with a rolling roster of live acts from resident acoustic performers to visiting bands. The crowd here are a blend of discerning diners to hardcore music fans, all jovial, laid back and up for some fun. If you're looking for a friendly hangout, with mighty tunes, good food and fun vibes, Maggie Mays is a true Merchant City nightlife gem.

Maggie Mays is always full of good craic, from the live music upstairs to the alternative disco downstairs. Drinks are very well priced also, considering it is just off Merchant Square. Probably not best for those wanting a quieter night, but for a good, alternative night out with mates, I recommend.
