This is my third visit and although I think the bar and restaurant itself is very modern and clean, the waiting time for drinks is ridiculous. I understand cocktails take longer to make but the bar wasn't even that busy and we still waited minimum of 30minutes per round. After booking a table for 8 people with plans to stay for the full night (which I personally recommended to my friends to try!), we left after three rounds as it was becoming a nuisance and our group were becoming annoyed. visited The Slug and Lettuce Glasgow on 11 Feb 2017

Slug and Lettuce helped me organise a surprise 40th birthday for my husband and couldn't have been more helpful. From sorting out the balloons to holding onto presents for us, I was very grateful for their help. Gillian was super responsive to emails and made the whole process really easy. Thanks! visited The Slug and Lettuce Glasgow on 11 Feb 2017

Hi there I was in your restaurant on Saturday afternoon. We had some food and a few drinks. I was unhappy as when I received the bill for our drinks and food I was shocked to find out that our bill ended up just under £80. I questioned the bill as there was 6 different things on the bill that we had not ordered. The waitress then changed our bill for us but there was still things on the bill that was incorrect. It took till the 4th attempt to get our bill correct. I was really disappointed that our bill was nearly £30 dearer than it should have been if I had not questioned it. I understand it can be busy and there can be mistakes that can happen but not having 6 different things added onto our bill which we didn't have. I am really disappointed as I am a regular visitor to your restaurant and always enjoy the food and the cocktails. visited The Slug and Lettuce Glasgow on 11 Feb 2017

Very slow service - we would have ordered more. As it was, most had to go to the bar themselves to get service. One of our group was served warm white wine. No Guinness available and limited IPA. Also, no soap in the gents toilet. Food we did order was decent. visited The Slug and Lettuce Glasgow on 10 Feb 2017

Once again your staff and chef excelled themselves. My Sunday Brunch was amazing , everyone in my party loved their food and my daughter ordered the braised brisket, she loved it, she said it was the best brunch she has ever had.. Thank you all so much as this was the brunch I won on your 12 days of Christmas competition, The staff at Glasgow are amazing and the food is top notch. I now look and see if there is a Slug and Lettuce wherever I go, my first one being Staines, now my local is Glasgow. thanks again xxx visited The Slug and Lettuce Glasgow on 05 Feb 2017

When I arrived on Saturday I was waiting at the bar to be attended to and was approached by a very rude member of staff. I advised her that I had a package booked and she wasn't very helpful! She stated that I had to let her know if I wanted beers or wine which I already advised Gillian over the phone. She looked at my sister and cousin and was rude about asking for ID. I was bringing my sister out for her birthday and first night out so therefore of course everyone had ID. We expect it but not in such a rude manner. There was no balloons as stated in the package and it took so long for the dessert to come I didn't think I was getting that either. This member of staff gave me such a bad first impression that I almost wanted to leave. All I wanted was to bring my sister to a nice location to celebrate her birthday. I am disappointed with the service received. visited The Slug and Lettuce Glasgow on 04 Feb 2017

Booking of the restaurant was a good experience compared to others I contacted for a large group of 34. Gillian communicated well via email however not being told the menu had changed until I submitted 34 choices was disappointing. On the day orders were wrong missing a main even though a spreadsheet had been filled in and initial bill was incorrect luckily I checked it before paying. Gentleman on the bar was great with drinks however waitress wasn't friendly made us wait for 34 dishes to come out before bringing condiments meaning many mains became cold. For such a large group on a Tuesday I would have appreciated being more attended to visited The Slug and Lettuce Glasgow on 31 Jan 2017

Lovely bar with a great decor. It was really really cold though, we were sitting with our jackets on. Food was lovely, bar staff were great. The table was meant to be decorated ( balloons ) as it was a party package but there was nothing on the table. As it was a 40th birthday this was a bit disappointing. I phoned and reserved an area for my 40th birthday with friends and when we arrived the information hadn't been passed to the bar staff. Although we did managed to find a seat ourselves, the whole point of pre-booking was too take any stress out of the night instead of having to re-arrange tables and chairs ourselves to accommodated everyone. On top of this the bar service was extremely slow and we left after only an hour and a half. First visit and was definitely not impressed. visited The Slug and Lettuce Glasgow on 06 Jan 2017

About 40 of us went to the Slug and Lettuce for our work Christmas night out. The venue itself is lovely and the section we were placed in was ideal because we were all seated together, however, we found that we were quite squashed at our tables. The food was nice but inconsistent, for example, some people had a really nice quality steak while others didn't. The wine was just okay. The service was good and I have to comment that Gillian was particularly helpful when the event was being organised. visited The Slug and Lettuce Glasgow on 16 Dec 2016

The food and drinks were great but unfortunately, the service was very slow. It was very busy and there were what appeared to be just two servers on. We had no interaction with anyone for nearly 30 minutes to take food and drink order which we had to flag down. Our bill also had additions on it which we never ordered. This happened on a previous occasion also so a little disappointed with accuracy regarding this. However, despite this, we had a lovely time and would be back again but maybe not over holiday periods when it is particlarly busy. visited The Slug and Lettuce Glasgow on 29 Dec 2016

Booked an area as part of a surprise 40th Birthday celebration. I'd pre-ordered Party Package A and confirmed my choice of drinks in advance, I was disappointed when I arrived after all of my guests that the drinks had not been put out as per my request. The waitress on the evening spoke to me and said she didn't know what drinks i'd ordered. This is disappointing as I had already confirmed this. There was also meant to be balloons as part of this package and no balloons were put out on the evening. As part of the package there was a dessert option which we also did not receive. Overall a disappointing experience for what was a special occasion. visited The Slug and Lettuce Glasgow on 03 Dec 2016

The only negative thing was that I had booked a table for 14 people in advance and paid a deposit. When we got there we were actually given two booths which meant we were split up for the night which wasn't ideal. I didn't understand why the people at our table could not have been asked to move as the table was booked. Apart from that everything else was good. visited The Slug and Lettuce Glasgow on 23 Dec 2016

The cocktail making was excellent and enjoyed by all though a little rushed. The meal however was disappointing with the order being mixed up. For this the staff kindly provided us with prosecco. However, when the main course did arrive, the salmon was over-cooked. One member of our party asked for a fresh one which was no better. The steak was chewy so this was left but the vegetarian option, I believe was very good. Starters and desserts were good but sadly I wouldn't pay the excess for a sit down meal as most of it was left. visited The Slug and Lettuce Glasgow on 03 Dec 2016

Communication was great and the staff couldn't have been more helpful with the organisation of it (particularly Gillian). On the night I was pleasantly surprised as I'd never been in the bar before but it was gorgeous and we had a lovely little corner reserved for us. We (24 of us) just spent a Happy Mondays evening at this very sophisticated bar/restaurant. David, the evening Manager and staff could not have been more friendly and helpful. What a fantastic deal, 50% off food & 50% off cocktails. All the food was delicious, from the Char-grilled Salmon to the Burgers, Lasagne and the Superfood Tortilla Bowl...you get to eat your plate here! A friend and I had room for the sharing profiterole cone, normally priced £6, with the 50%, it was only £3, between the two of us it cost £1.50 each, delicious! After choosing Slug & Lettuce for a night out with friends (13 in total) due to its late opening time of 3am and reasonably priced drinks packages, we had booked a table for between 8.30pm and 3.00am. We had a great night until it came to an early end due to a bouncer showing up, I appreciate that bars must comply with their licence however having to close the bar at 1.00am certinely put a dampener on our night. From this experience I would not recommend Slug & Lettuce due to their unreliable staffing at weekends. I was very disappointed. visited The Slug and Lettuce Glasgow on 04 Nov 2016

Pleasant greeting from the staff. Poor attempt at a cappuccino, hot chocolate was little better. One of the servers was pleasant and recommending food and drink (she was dressed in ?camoflague outfit), however one of the waitresses was not friendly and snappy when asked about our drinks order. Good cocktails and good sharing starters (apart from soggy warm cucumber). Mains were generally good - the korean stir fry dish ordered by two of our party was very disappointing, the description on the menu sounded great but we got a clumpy bowl of rice with lots of toppings, none of which went well together. Some friends and I sampled the Happy Mondays menu. 50% off food orders all day every Monday. Delicious! Especially the desserts. My favourite was the sharing profiterole cone, with praline flavoured profiteroles coated in crunchy hazelnut pieces and vanilla flavoured cookie crumb. The staff are so attentive and friendly. Love this venue, very classy. Can't wait to go back. visited The Slug and Lettuce Glasgow on 24 Oct 2016

The food and atmosphere was great. We all were full from everything we picked. However the waitress didn't seem to be that interested and pretty much slammed our plates down each course, we had to try and find her to get our bill. Everything else was great. visited The Slug and Lettuce Glasgow on 20 Oct 2016

The cocktail master class was much better than I had expected. David the bar tender was top notch with good banter. There was a mix up with the bill which took a while to sort (never good when it's over £100 out) apart from that it was ideal night and very good value for money. visited The Slug and Lettuce Glasgow on 15 Oct 2016

After coming here for the first time and seeing how good it looked and also having the added bonus of half price cocktails (all on a 'cocktail tree' may I add - wow), I decided I would book a booth for my 21st birthday! The girl I was emailing regarding the booking enquirey was lovely and very helpful, making sure I got the corner booth and party package that I asked for, making the booking experience very pleasant and stress free. On the night we were greeted by a really friendly staff member who took us to our booth, to be surprised with sparklers and the table all set up with the drinks I had ordered making it all the more luxurious! The gentleman then informed me that they had upgraded my vodka to Ciroc free of charge since it was my 21st!! Honestly could not praise this place enough - we all had a ball and the staff were all really friendly and accommodating. Have already recommend it to all my friends and family and will definitely be returning again soon :)! kels_xo visited The Slug and Lettuce Glasgow on 27 Aug 2016

I booked a table for 10 people (9 turned up) for Saturday afternoon lunch. The service was excellent from when we arrived (at different times). The waitress serving at our table was extremely efficient (not sure of her name). The food was served all together and very nice. Only one guest was disappointed but agreed he had made the wrong choice. We asked for a table to be reserved at the bar after our meal which was set up and ready for us. Overall a good experience and will return. rmurray visited The Slug and Lettuce Glasgow on 16 Jul 2016

I booked a large window table for drinks with my family and friends for my birthday. The person who helped me get booked in was superb and really helpful via Facebook and Email getting the area and time I wanted. The offer of pre ordered drinks was a great idea and the half price cocktails always go down a treat. One of my friends ordered a bite to eat as soon as she arrived which seemed no problem, however when another friend asked about an hour later she was abruptly told the kitchen was too busy, the person was busy making cocktails (which we assumed meant they weren't to be distributed) and no eta or explanation was given as to if or when she could request something. I thought this was really unfair and unprofessional so went to enquire myself as the party booker and the same person was extremely unhelpful on the point of being very rude. I could see he was busy making cocktails so asked who could answer our question as to when she could order something and was very abruptly sent to the dining staff. They were so helpful and after I explained it was just something simple 1 person wanted to order she was given a chicken wrap (if I remember right). We did spend several hours in your bar and spent a significant amount of money on a magnum of moet and many rounds of beers and cocktails and not that value counts but at a quieter time and early on I didn't see the issue with one person eating? Shame as I was going to bring my friends for a cocktail class here but I'm not so sure we'd all want to return. I have to say the rest of your staff were lovely though. Only downfall is how SLOW! the service is. I'd suggest everytime you order a cocktail that when they eventually do bring it to you, to order another one. Thank you Carly visited The Slug and Lettuce Glasgow on 27 May 2016

Had a great visit ti the slug and lettuce at 150 st vuncent st glasgow, food was great and the cocktails were delicious, the onky thing that let it down this was that service was very slow, and we had to ask staff for our order several times as they seemed to be forgettibg to bring it to the table Maria visited The Slug and Lettuce Glasgow on 14 May 2016

Lovely place with gorgeous decor and a brilliant cocktail deal on permanently. First time having food and was a little let down... We ordered sides and they basically never arrived! We had to make sure they didn't end up on the bill. Could hardly hear ourselves as the music was so loud while we ate. Also the cocktails seem to go downhill the later the night goes. More staff on the bar, more preparation to last throughout the night and someone washing glasses would be recommended! Would come back but not for food! I booked the Slug and Lettuce for my friends hen do. We had amazing service from Gillian on the lead up to the night, she made sure we had everything we could possibly need prior to arriving! I wish I could say the service was the same on the night...we arrived and our table was all set with the prosecco we got as part of our package. We were split up into three groups for our cocktail class and whilst the second group were making theirs the rest had their starter.(we were told everyone would make cocktails before dinner and eat together). We ordered a round of drinks and nothing was ever brought to us. We asked several times for drinks and was told they would be back to take the order and nothing happened. After conplaining we finally got our drinks. The mains came along with a pile of cutlery dumped on the middle of the table. The food was really nice and everyone enjoyed this. Most of the deserts came, thenwe were told they had ran out of some items (bearing in mind we pre ordered before arriving, this was very poor). When I complained the excuses were it was the bank holiday weekend and this had to be expected!! This is not a one off as I visited the weekend prior for lunch and a few drinks and the service was the same. I didn't say anything then as just thought it was the girl serving us! The stress free night that was promised turned out to be a sham and I would avoid this place where possible. I know it was not just us that had this service as there was another hen party in at the same time who warned us to check the bill as they were charged for items they did not get!!!!! Another fab night in The Slug & Lettuce for my friend Liz's birthday - I had booked a space double the size required & it was all set up for us on arrival at 8pm. Unfortunately some people couldn't make it but the food we ordered & amazing cocktails made up for our friend's absence. Good music, great night & attentive bar staff made a brilliant night. Thank you again. gilltay78 visited The Slug and Lettuce Glasgow on 15 Apr 2016

I booked the Slug and Lettuce as part of my best friends hen do on Saturday 2nd April and I would highly recommend it! The area we reserved was a perfect size, it was really busy so there was a great atmosphere and the staff couldn't have been more accommodating to us - helping with decorations, storing our party bags and cakes when we were away doing an activity and then keeping us constantly topped up once we arrived! The buffet food was really good value for money and ideal for what we were looking for. Would definitely book for an event again.

Honestly... I was so disappointed with my visit to the Slug & Lettuce yesterday. I had booked this lunch reservation over a week in advance to take my mum out for mother's day. When we arrived we got sat in a booth near the door and with the way that the weather was there was a constant draft causing us not to be able to remove our jackets. Although this isn't something that can be controlled there was plenty of other tables we could have been sat at. After being seated we waited 20 minutes for a drink order to be taken. This was a start to the downward spiral to the rest of our lunch. After getting our drinks we sat and waited another 10 minutes and after no approach from a waiter i decided to go to the bar to ask if we could order some food. The bartender was very dismissive and said he was busy and would be a while making cocktails before he could take our order. After ordering our food we waiting around 25 minutes on our starters (which is expected) when they arrived the garlic bread and wedges were nice however the nachos had a very little amount of toppings and we ended up not being able to finish these due to them being to dry. The server then came and asked if we were ready for our mains to be brought our, which we then waited another 10/15 minutes on these. During this time I had to approach the bar again to ask for another round of drinks. By this point i was a little annoyed as i felt i was doing these people's job for them. After the meal i went to the bar again to ask for the bill, after waiting a further 10 minutes i approached the bar again to ask if i could pay as no one had came over to clear our table or with a bill. I was a bit annoyed that i then had to pay £60 for our lunch due to the shocking lack of service. I was very disappointed that i had taken my mum here for mother's day as there are plenty of other restaurants in Glasgow that offer such a high standard of customer service and better quality of food.
