Description

With two Michelin-starred chefs pulling the strings behind the scenes, The Scran & Scallie is a delightful gastropub located on Stockbridge’s Comely Bank Road.

Tom Kitchen and Dominic Jack are the architects behind this cosy hangout, where fabrics from the Isle of Bute, raw brickwork and discerning Scandinavian furnishings combine to great effect. The Scran & Scallie is a leading spot to enjoy a bite at lunch and there’s a great deal of variety on the menu. Highlights include the steak pie, the roasted hake and the Highland bavette steak. The seam bream drizzled with lemon is a masterpiece, and there’s lentil burgers and artichoke risotto to ensure veggies are handsomely catered for too.

Maybe you’re just popping by for a drink, in which case you’ll encounter a comprehensive choice of some of Scotland’s top draught beers and a lovely list of cocktails. Our tip is the Key Lime Pie; a delicate balance of Stolichnaya Vanilla, pineapple juice and egg white, with a biscuit rim to finish.

Homely and welcoming, The Scran & Scallie is a dog-friendly pub where children are welcome until 10pm.
