STEPTOE AND SON RADIO SHOW CHRISTMAS EDITION
Adapted by John Hewer. Based on the original scripts by Ray Galton and Alan Simpson
A NEW RADIO PLAY BASED ON ORIGINAL FESTIVE SCRIPTS BY RAY GALTON AND ALAN SIMPSON, BY HAMBLEDON PRODUCTIONS.
Christmas wouldn’t be Christmas without a visit to 23 Oil Drum Lane to catch up with the nation’s favourite rag-and-bone-men! “What sort of Christmas dinner do you call that? We’ve had tinned soup, tinned turkey, tined peas, followed by tinned pudding and tinned cream… It’s a wonder we ain’t got bleedin’ metal poisoning!”
Albert and Harold – united by blood, divided over everything else – seem doomed to spend their Christmases in each other’s company. Harold, of course, has his flights of fancy. His “dirty old man” Albert, of course, has other ideas…
