Description
Varsity is Cambridge's oldest restaurant, first opened on this site in 1954. A neighbourhood restaurant nestled in the heart of the city opposite Emmanuel College. The Varsity has recently undergone a major refurbishment, the dining rooms are now sleek and elegant, providing the perfect atmosphere in which to enjoy the seasonal and locally sourced menu alongside their extensive wine list and claret card.
The restaurant is able to provide either intimate dining or corporate private dining in one of it's two private dining rooms.
The Varsity Restaurant occupies a grade two listed building and is steeped in history. A one time Varsity waitress Sonia Maino met her future husband Rajiv Ghandi here whilst he was studying engineering at Trinity College.
