The Old Fire Station

Description

Student mecca and events house, Bournemouth's Old Fire Station nightclub doesn't take itself seriously with its fun-loving and easy-going atmosphere. Double-faceted between being the town's longstanding venue for holding Student Union nights out, as well as also being home to diverse public event nights, The Old Fire Station has seen an eclectic assortment of famous bands and artists grace its stages.

This grade II listed former fire station is comprised of three large rooms, where you are sure to find the music that has your hips shaking. The club's student "Lollipop" night on Fridays, which has been a South Coast success since 1997, plays everything from chart-blasters and dubstep to pop, R&B and hip-hop making for a real fresher favourite. Aside from its club nights, Old Fire Station's music gigs always attract the masses having previously played host to the likes of indie band Bloc Party, dance master Craig Richards and rapper Dizzee Rascal.

Since The Old Fire Station caters heavily toward students, you can definitely be expecting student friendly drink prices and a relaxed, up-for-it vibe to match.
