Revolving Door is a 40-minute play about young male suicide and shows the story of Martin, a young gay man, who struggles with the mental distress about the state of the world, which leads him eventually to suicide.. We hear Martin’s story from his ghost, who is the coroner in the inquest into the circumstances of his own death. Martin calls his mother, GP, and other health professionals as witnesses and explores their responsibility in his suicide, as well as his own.

The play is always followed by a forum for discussion on the subject of suicide prevention. On June 27 2018 this will be in the form of a conversation between Dr Erin Turner and Jonny Benjamin OBE about suicide prevention. Jonny attempted to take his own life some years ago by trying to throw himself off one of the London bridges and was stopped by Neil, a passer by. After a five year search for that person he found him and regularly works alongside him towards opening up the subject of suicide- and how random acts of kindness can go a very long way to its prevention.
