New Bar Spy - Craft English Garden

Flower Walls And Afternoon Tea Take Centre Stage At Aktar Islam's Latest Venture

Craft English Garden

Not happy being the brains behind some of Birmingham's most Instagrammable venues, chef-restaurateur Aktar Islam is back at it with the floral decor and this time he's bringing the team from Craft Dining Rooms along for the ride. Teaming up with CDR co-owners Sam and Emma Morgan, the Craft English Garden is a restaurant and terrace with eye-watering style. Fronting floral decor throughout, you'll find flower walls, private dining pods and firepits in the outdoor space, and foliage decked pillars and warm lighting inside.

While much of the food offering is still in the works, we can confirm that they'll be putting afternoon teas high on the agenda, alongside a menu of traditional British plates given a thoroughly modern makeover. The drinks offering will be one to watch too, as the beautifully-designed terrace bar is set to be one of Birmingham's top destinations for a G&T - think 32+ gins ready for the mixing with a selection of Double Dutch tonics. As for the wine, they'll be keeping things a little closer to home, with a well-curated mix of bottles from lesser-known UK vineyards.
